Las Flores is in an incredible location right on the beach. Our room (I traveled on a girl's trip with my cousin) faced the ocean and we had lovely views of the beach and sunset. The rooms are sparse and rather plain but very comfortable with a small fridge and microwave. There was enough seating for the two of us. We both agreed that we would go back to Las Flores Beach Resort next week if we could. The pool was wonderful and refreshing. We were able to sit near the pool and look at the ocean. The french toast breakfast was so delicious we had it almost every morning. There are a lot of activities on the beach, including taking a catamaran ride and a boat to Deer Island. The location is great to restaurants in the area. We never lacked for something fun to do. Thank you Las Flores staff for a beautiful week.

Starting my reviews back up again.."RONA" has taken a toll on my mind. My happy place is traveling, and have no idea when this will happen again, So I decided to put my mind on my previous travels, write reviews and have happy thoughts Feb 18, 2019. Arrived at Las Floras. For years we have stopped in to eat and have cocktail but this is our first time staying here. We had 2 room options. One in the new area or the one that is oceanfront and older. We choose the oceanfront. I love the feel and look of this room. We were in room 205. The bathroom (love all the tile) was a nice size, lots of closet space, 2 double beds (ok), and kitchen with table and sitting area and balcony. I didn't do any cooking this time. I really don't remember what was available in the kitchen for use of utensils. During our stay, I think they were cleaning the air-conditioning system out. We turned on the air one time and that one time the dirt, sand and dust blow all over our bed and floor ??. One of the pools was closed for safety reasons, because of the building going up next door that was towering over this area. Sat by the pool and the ocean. The pool area..well there must be retired people that stay long term. This is no fault of Las Floras, but these people were rude and demanding, thought they owed the pool area?????. Not impressed with them. I should have open my mouth and gave them a little insight into their behavior. I love the snapping of the fingers. Palapas on the beach were nice if you need a bit of shade..Me, all I want is sunshine !!! One early morning we watched a turtle lay eggs. The moon was beautiful, what a view! The location of the resort is nice. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. La Palapa restaurant is on-site. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We started coming to Mazatlan in the late '80s. Have probable been here 15+ times. I do miss the old Mazatlan. Just not liking all of the high rise building...but I guess they call this progress. Definalty DO NOT like the bandas and all its noise. Previous trips were few and far between...this trip was relentless !! One night this gawd awful noise from the breaker/rock wall out in front of the resort till probably 4 in the morning...so much for listening to the waves from the ocean. Relaxing/napping by the pool or the beach was trying, they could see you were sleeping and they played all the louder and longer...this noise ??. Mazatlan beach is the best walking beach...can walk it for hours ??.
Nice hotel, good location

Room was really nice for the price. Almost all rooms are ocean view. There was a lot of reviews complaining about noise which almost made me go somewhere else- I think there was one night (Saturday maybe?) That there was some loud music until like 11pm. I'm glad I didn't omit this hotel because of the noise complainers. There is a new mega hotel/condo(?) Being erected directly to the North, so if you are not an early riser I feel this would make some unhappy... We didn't mind it at all so don't be scared of it either- we were 2nd room in from the North so it could only get one room "worse". Down side- WIFI. It is true, not very good. But really is that a bad thing? Disconnect you're on vacation! Room had a fridge, coffee maker and a BLENDER!!it also had all the basics of a kitchen... But they had me at the blender!! I will definitely go back if price is the same... Good value!
Great Hotel....but in the middle of a construction frenzy

The hotel, staff, amenities and location, while all were amazing, the on going construction of area hotels and condos were quite dis heartening. Also, the bar next door playing extremely loud music till early hours in the morning made us have to keep patio doors closed and A/C on all night. Unfortunately these issues will be ongoing for quite a long time. Try picking a hotel away north and away from the Golden Zone.

A bit of an issue with Westjet site and the room we wanted. Westjet does not offer the renovation rooms . We stay every year..so have our favorite. Had to pay $4000 extra pesos on check in to get our room. Room 201. Renovation not quite completed. Shower stall was curtained enclosure. Worked just fine, but not sure the extra pesos charge was fair. New beds. Still super firm. I loved. Hubby not so much. The staff at the hotel truly make our stay! Jesus, Geo, Juan, Angel, Jorge, Damien, Ulysses, Carlos and.... every one... you all so fabulous! Love you all! I hope the management at Las Flores appreciates how hard you all work. And how much you all make our stay with you so familiar, and welcoming. Love you guys! Anne and Andy. Xox
