Simple review with a summary at the end. 5 is the highest score 1-Service = 4.5 2-Cleanliness = 4.5 3-Location = 5 4-Food = 3 5-drinks =3 6-Pool and deck = 4 7-Coffee Bar selection = 1 8-TV English Channels = 1 9-English Speaking Staff = 3 10-Atmosphere and Decor = 5 11-Entertainment = 4.0 12-WIFI =5 13-Air Conditioning =4.5 We will be back. Very easy going and relaxing place. Very Attractive inside the hotel. Great layout and simply put, it's a great choice for staying in Huatulco. What would I like to see? A fridge in the hotel room stocked with complimentary drinks. More English TV channels. A premium drink option would be cool and I know it would be an extra cost. Food was good but the buffet hot cases are at best, warm. A coffee bar with a barista would do well. After all my suggestions, I still highly recommend the Binniguenda.

Great alternative to the big AIs

We stayed here the first week in April. In Huatulco I had stayed previously at Secrets (2x), Dreams and Las Brisas. I'm happy to say that I would be happy to return to any of them (including the Binnie) because each will provide a different experience and all are great. The Binnie is much smaller than the others and is quite different with respect to what it offers. It's not on a beach and the facilities are modest. However, we really enjoyed our stay. We really liked the fact that you could walk out the front door and go for a nice stroll in Santa Cruz, to the beach, some really good restaurants, etc. There are often musicians out and the vibe was outstanding. Quiet, but not overly so. I would guess that >95% of the people there were from Mexico. The rooms at the Binnie are modest but comfortable. There was no usable balcony but you could open the window for fresh air. The breakfasts were good but we ate dinner there only twice (and lunch never) because we really enjoyed eating out in Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. The staff were friendly but not as much so as per Secrets or Dreams where they acknowledge you every time you walk by. However, I think that most of the staff at the Binnie are not comfortable speaking in English. I can get by in Spanish so once I talked to them they would open up quite a bit. The gardens are the Binnie are beautiful and a great place to sit in the morning to listen to the birds. We will be returning to Huatulco again this fall and will likely be staying in the Binnie for the first week and Secrets the second. However, we are also considering staying in one of the more rustic beachfront hotels in the north part of Huatulco. We saw some beautiful places during a day trip so a couple of isolated beachers.

We are here on Easter break and we are the ONLY Canadians, and only ones not fluent in Spanish. That's okay - the staff have made an extra effort with us. Carlos and Tomas in the restaurant welcome us daily, and explain the food options, which was very helpful on Mexican breakfast day as I've never seen anything like it. All delicious, but be prepared to be adventurous in your eating. Tomas is taking our Spanish education to heart, and we learn new words and phrases daily. They are GREAT!!! Ricky is in charge of evening entertainment, and during the day he plays music. He was sure to ask us if we wanted a new song or anything. Last night was karaoke and man can these guests SING! I thought for sure one guy was professional. The food is delicious. Lots of fresh fruit and variety. Very fresh and tastes like homemade and not your typical mass produced food. The rooms are comfy and clean. The pillows are amazing - memory foam! The beds are only doubles, so get cozy. The pool towels are big and fluffy. There is a shuttle to the beach, but we just walk over. We also take taxis to nearby beaches in the Park. We have done one tour with Migal - crocodile reserve and then turtle release. Both excellent, and Migal speaks perfect English and translated everything. This was booked through the hotel. This is a small hotel, and very different from the large all inclusive places you may be used to. If you want a more Mexican experience, this is the place for you. If you want Canada but hot, then go to Cancun.

Back once again. 9th time. New faces, same excellent service. Well-kept grounds. Great food varieties. Clean rooms. Fantastic nightly shows. Hotel personnel are courteous, cheerful and always eager to help you. We should be back. Joanna and Pedro.

The hotel needs a good scrubbing. The room we had needed to be repainted. The gym is not air conditioned. The pool area deck was filthy, it needs a power washing or cleaning. Every day you would see 'managers" walking the property with their clip boards but not interact with the guests to see how their stay is and receive immediate feedback. The food was HORRIBLE. We are vegetarian and could not be accommodate, the one time they did prepare a meal for us it was tortilla chips and brown sauce with some cheese. At the end of it all, they seemed to care but didn't do much to help out.
