Great Family Resort

T1686QJkatiec on May 01, 2024

Great resort option to relax and have quality family time. We have a little one just over a year old and each meal provided ample options that we could offer him and staff were very friendly and happy to help us with any needs we had. Will definitely be back in the future!

Excellent Time and Wonderful Staff

Taylor F on Apr 27, 2024

I came in April with my family to attend a wedding nearby. The location is great, the area is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is fantastic. One staff member in particular, Manuel (Server), was an absolute delight to see. He made my family and I feel very special and took care of all of our needs. Anyone who comes to Plaza Pelícanos, look for Manuel!!

Nice but a few areas need work

Sandman2012 (New Brunswick, New Jersey) on Apr 27, 2024

This is a mixed review. While we enjoyed our stay, there was some areas that could use improvement. The resort is nice with great views and enjoyable activities included. The nightly shows, water aerobics, beach and pool volleyball, all were good. The rooms could use work. The toilet seat in the bathroom had broken free and the tub would not drain. Both were reported multiple times but never repaired during the week were here. The staff were nice but a few stood out. Our favorite was Manuel. He was part of the wait staff near the pool and beach. He got to know all 5 members of our group and we got.toknow him. He really helped make our trip special. Victor, the restaurant manager and Enrique, our waiter in the Italian Restaurant were very good...Enrique made good recommendations and we never waited for anything. He was spot on.

Amazing staff & service

DayTrip31552777185 on Apr 26, 2024

I stayed here with my mother in April. I have a lot of food allergies and we did the all inclusive. The staff was beyond amazing. Antonio or Tony (looks like Ross from friends) went above and beyond and made sure everyone in the kitchen knew about my allergies. I am horrible with names, but there was a Sal and Germaine absolutely amazing service. By the pool before my drink was even finished they were bringing me a new one. I will return because of the amazing staff. I’ve never seen any other place with such great workers. Everyone was sweet and on the last night we got a little too tipsy and went upstairs before they brought the desert out they made specifically for me. They delivered it to the room. I cannot thank everyone there enough.

Mexican Charm in a STUNNING location

Coastal_Living22 (Sechelt, Canada) on Apr 24, 2024

This resort is small, quaint and offers everything you need for a Mexican retreat. Walking the beach to the Malecon area was a highlight, the location is 10/10 for anything you could ever want to do here. The staff are HANDS DOWN the reason it does well. We never encountered anyone who was not pleasant or helpful. Everyone went above and beyond to make our sister vacation EPIC. Special shout out to Emanuel, Angel, Antonio (Ross), Francisco (Koopa Troopa) and Andres for all the laughs and treating us so incredible, you all deserve major recognition for what you do. The room was exactly as booked, a gorgeous newer large 1bdr with ample room - perfect for a small family - I was worried as many people said they did not get what they booked - we were in love with the view and the room. Daily service from housecleaning was great, never had an issue with them not showing up etc. As with all places nothing is perfect but I felt as easy going, laid back travellers who are pretty easy to please I should give feedback on the few things that we encountered. The linens are treated as GOLD, and it gives a cheap feeling. We paid for 3 people to stay and were told 1 face cloth per room and the other linens were also very restricted - I could be wrong that the lady I asked for some didn't understand - but when we arrived there were none in the room and we were granted 1- however by day 5 they seemed to leave us a few more - so it may have just been a misunderstanding - but the vibe was intense with them and linens - same with the towels - god forbid someone takes your towel and you don't have one to turn back in, they could be a bit more understanding - as well not allowing you a fresh towel until 9am is SILLY as can be. All inclusive shouldn't have a time restriction on alcohol in the morning, I get the bars open at 11am but not allowing us to have Baileys in coffee of Mimosas at breakfast was a super LAME policy that needs to be reviewed ASAP. It didn't have to be a free for all but FORBIDDING staff to serve those drinks at breakfast really did not suit the environment. That brings me to my last gripe which was food in the rooms - We are all paid up for food and should be allowed to bring it to our rooms, on a day when we didn't feel up to the buffet seating we felt it should have been "ok" to bring it to our rooms, which was no problem as long as you paid extra for "delivery" vis room service- super desperate looking on their part over "17%". Sometimes you need to bring your hungover sisters a hash brown and they militantly objected. Food was very ample, they always had lots but by day 5 we had seen enough of each dish - a bit of variety would be helpful but I never complain about the food in mexico as we are beyond blessed that they share their scare resources with us. Thanks again to everyone who helped us enjoy the week.
