My bridesmaids and I stayed here the night before my wedding, got ready in the room and then me and my husband came back to enjoy ourselves as newlyweds! The staff was so amazing and accommodating. Valet was great, they carted us to our room as well as my makeup and hair artist. I would say the spa services could use better customer service but everyone else was so amazing. The pools are gorgeous the grounds are so clean and well kept. And the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Thanks fairmont princess for making my wedding weekend the best ever!!

    Treated poorly

I stayed one night 5/1-5/2 in room D2070 with my sister in law. We needed a quick girls weekend and we had booked a 90 minute massage at the spa. The whole check in experience was great and we found our room quickly. We went over to the spa and checked in there as well. We changed and got our massage and then enjoyed the facilities afterwards. As we were leaving the spa we noticed the gym and large atrium/yoga looking room. Everything looked nice and I was excited to come back and use the gym the next day (avid gym goer). Fast forward to the next day...I go to the gym and set up some weights. A nice lady came to me and asked me a question. I had my headphones in so I took them out and she repeated if I had checked into the facility. I said no and she showed me where to check in at the front desk. I left my room card and sunglasses on the gym counter because I thought I was coming back. When I got to the front desk, a not so nice lady asked me to sign in. As I was signing in, she asked if I was using the spa services. I said no, I had used them yesterday. She told me I couldn't use the fitness room because I hadn't paid for it that day. So I'm thinking, I paid almost $400 for a massage (massage and tip plus whatever fees they add) yesterday and today I'm not "worthy" enough to use the fitness room. I heard her loud and clear and then went back to the fitness room to get my key and sunglasses. I left my weights on the bench because it was embarrassing enough to have people in the gym see me grab my stuff and leave. As I'm walking away from the facility, the nice lady who approached me in the gym came running up behind me which scared me (I had my headphones in) and then I took them out again for her to tell me that she would show me where the "other" gym was. I was so taken back by the how I was treated and how she startled me that I just asked her to please leave me alone because at that point I was starting to cry. I felt stupid. If they had a sign somewhere that said the gym was only for spa guests then that would be on me to know better. Or if the lady who approached me in the gym had said something, that would have saved me a little embarrassment. The lady at the front desk could have been kinder and said let me show you where the other facility is on the map. Nope, nothing. The lady who came after me was so kind (short brown curly hair) but at that point I was done. How is someone worthy of the spa facilities one day and the next were treated like garbage? THEN I get changed to go the pool. I'm thinking...do I need this green bracelet they gave me at check in? Is someone going to tell me I don't belong at the pool either? So I put on the bracelet and go down to the pool. It's early 930am ish and not many people are there. I pick a chair that seems like I won't get reprimanded for sitting in. All is well. I'm just relaxing and enjoy the sun. A cute 20 year old boy ( I have one about the same age) comes and sits down in a chair. I don't notice him until a server comes around and says to him "do you have a reservation because those chairs are for people who have a reservation" as she's walking by. No "sorry, those are reserved but you can sit over here" or anything. The hotel industry should be about customer service and making us feel welcome. We paid a hell of a lot of money for 24 hrs at the facility only to be treated like second class citizens for not knowing better. How was I supposed to know there were two gyms? I also asked the concierge desk for a golf cart tour of the grounds. I literally wanted to bring my family there because I heard they have a pool with waterslides and my husband likes to golf. Seemed perfect for a mini getaway. But they said the golf carts were all busy and couldn't take me on a tour. So imagine my surprise/disappointment when they drove by me on multiple occasions with nobody inside. Plus we sat by the bar next to a fire pit area and the waiter was nice enough to let us know we could only sit there until 9pm because our spot was reserved. What can I actually use at the hotel for the gobs of money I paid?? I don't get. It's a gorgeous hotel (from what I saw) and were treated poorly. Our room also had a large crack in the ceiling where the drywall tape had separated. This isn't the four seasons. I paid a lot of money and I'm not coming back. Work on your customer service please.

This was our first trip after COVID and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The staff was responsive, helpful and efficient in every way. Our room had been updated since our last stay and the changes are welcomed. We love being by the fragrant garden.

We had the pleasure of staying here for our first vacation in over a year and it was just as relaxing as I had imagined it to be. The good stuff! The grounds, the flowers, and all the succulents & palm trees were beautiful. The spacious and well designed rooms with patios were a highlight of the trip, it was nice to enjoy in room coffe or tea from the nespresso and electric kettle while the sun came up over the golf course. They have plenty of pools to choose from so while we were there it felt like we had them pretty much to ourselves! The service is great and very attentive. The resort is vast and plenty of place to stroll around like the cactus or rose garden. All the amenities were top notch!! I’ve stayed at some luxury resorts and this was pretty impressive given the cost of rooms were very reasonable. The bad. Unfortunately the food was super overpriced which we knew it would be but we also thought it would be at least pretty good. Sad to say it was all mediocre to poor. We ate breakfast at their takeaway cafe (one of two options) which was decent for potatoes eggs and toast. But the bloody and cappuccino weren’t made well and cost around $100 for two people. The pool side hamburger was tasty but they forgot the condiments and the frozen pool drinks were awful. There was almost no alchohol and they were sickeningly sweet. I had a virgin mojito and hubs had the rum version but you could not even taste a slight difference in either. Toro Latin restaurant was terrible, food was over sauced or under seasoned, and undercooked. Our $60 steak was raw and flavorless . If you can skip it I would highly suggest going off the resort for something better. I would still stay here again but spend money on a rental car and plan ahead or suffer through the poor food. If they revamped their f&b program this would be an amazing 5 star experience!

My wife and I traveled to Arizona in April and stayed at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel for 3 nights. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel has 5 restaurants, 5 swimming pools and a golf course. Our room was excellent and very comfortable. We took beautiful walks in their beautiful gardens and also enjoyed their restaurants. We especially enjoyed our dinner at their Bourbon Steak Restaurant. The menu, the service and the atmosphere were excellent. Shereen A. did an excellent job as our server. We have traveled in the USA and Europe for over 45 years and the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is one of our best experiences. We will be staying at the hotel on our next trip to Arizona.
