Stayed at the Princess for the first time and it will be the last time. It was one problem after another. We realize it’s during the pandemic but a little more effort by employees would have been nice. Checked in online and were suppose to pick up keys from bellman at front of hotel. Had to wait to be helped, valet/bellman was rude and made us wait while he helped someone that came after us. Ended up only giving us one rooms keys in our packet. I booked our rooms directly through the hotel as I had specific requests as having an interior entrance room and not on the first floor. I was assured that was not a problem. I called 3 days before hand to confirm my requests, again assured that it was taken care of. After trying to find our room in the dark which was the farthest you could possibly go on the property. Apparently the golf cart to take guest to rooms was not available. We found we only had one set of keys and it was on the ground floor with an outside entrance. It is very difficult to get someone to answer the phone when I finally got the front desk, the employee was rude and said requests are just that requests and when I explained, she got short and said do you want the other room key or not. I asked for the manager and 15 minutes later I received a call and apology that the notes on the reservations were not read. Ok we moved rooms. There was not air conditioning in either room while the halls were nice and cold. The rooms were so unbearably hot, no one could sleep. It was 116 degrees outside during our stay. Could not get someone to answer the phone. Ended up leaving a message the following morning and expected a reply or the air conditioning fixed by the time we returned late. No A/C for the second night. This was the worst resort I have ever stayed at. Main pool was dirty and full of bugs. Hotels reply after we returned home, "we apologize and will have maintenance look into the AC and hope you give us another chance to do better" Not likely.

No phone call, no knock on the door, a security guard walked in claiming he knocked on the door where we were playing loud music. No call to our cell given at check in, when we get texts in the am to see if we need anything in the am. So no call to the room, no knock on the door and the security guard just walks into the room and threatens us. Wow! Ridiculous for the amount of money spent on a casita to fell this violates. DISGUSTING!! Scottsdale PD doesn’t have the right to charge into my home let alone a security guard on duty.

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is located within 20 mins from phoenix sky harbor international airport. I booked a short 3 night weekend getaway at this resort through Delta Airlines Vacations Online. On the website it does state that the resort charges a daily self parking fee of 15.00 and resort fee. This was the only information stated on delta airlines vacations website about the resort. So on the day i checked in at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort, the front desk only told me they needed to see a card for "incidentals". They did make me aware of the daily parking fee but that was the only thing they told me. So i went ahead and gave them my credit/debit card to put on file for incidentals. The big surprise came when I went to check my bank account online while i was on the trip. The resort charged me over 900.dollars at check in!!!!!!!!! So i called the front desk and spoke with one of the staff members as to why I was charged over 900.00 dollars. He said that they charged me 900 dollars for the room i had reserved. I explained to him that my hotel room had been pre-paid through delta airlines vacations. After further checking their system he admitted that they had made a mistake and said that delta airlines vacations had not sent them the payment for the room until late that night of check in. What concerned me about it is the front desk staff at check in didn't even bother to confirm my reservation to see if delta had paid for the room and just assumed that i was paying for it on my credit card so in turn i got double charged for a room that I had already paid for. Very poor customer service !!! The front desk clerk did tell me that he was working on reversing the charges. When i spoke with a member of the management team at the resort she didn't really seem to care that they overcharged me 900.00 dollars and made excuses for the mistake. Her story was different from what the front desk clerk told me about the mix up and said it would take up to 5 days after i check out to get my money back that they took out. She only offered me a 50.00 dollar food and beverage credit for my trouble ,what a joke!! They could have done better than that. So i ended up having to cancel some of the excursions i had planned to do in sedona az because of the loss of money over the "so called mix up at the hotel" The resort its self is decent , has several pools and areas to relax. The self parking is not very conveniently located to the resort and is sort of a small walk. The resort does have a restaurant but it is very pricey. If your looking for a short getaway i would recommend looking elsewhere at a cheaper hotel with free parking lot. My best advice if you are considering staying at this resort is to make sure the reservation department has all your payment information taken care of before checking in or you will get surprise charges on your credit card that you were not made aware of and no apology for the mix up. I will definitely not come back to this resort if i decide to visit the Scottsdale az area again.

Very nice rooms! Parking was not the easiest at least to self park. Overall a pleasurable experinece, especially in these Covid times. Staff was friendly and attentive. Didn't golf this trip but will plan on doing that next time around.

The room was very nice, what we expected based on the several Fairmont hotels at which we've stayed. The view from room was very nice as was the main pool area. Dining was a different story two Mexican themed and one Steakhouse for dine in or take out. The one more American cuisine restaurant was closed even though web site showed open as of our stay. Supposedly it was operating for delivery but no answer when called the number instructed. Kinda silly too that take out wasn't available since it was 100 yards or less from our room. Parking was inconvenient. Self park was 10 mins from our room in front of large meeting complex and no provisions for unloading/loading luggage first then parking. A "resort", by definition should be self sufficient. We'd been hiking in several areas and states for a week and were looking to rest for a couple days and do nothing. Instead, we were coming and going throughout the day. Having stayed in the area many times, a regular hotel would be better situation taking advantage of the many dining options in Scottsdale.
