    A wonderful place to stay, excellent service and staff. Most of the staff remember you from your last visit which you don't find at many places and they go out of their way to do little things to make you feel special and welcome!

    Our room was very nice, we had an ocean view with a jacuzzi & our fridge was restocked daily! JOSE at the bar in the main lobby would definitely keep us coming back! He made our experience very enjoyable and his happy spirit is contagious. All of the staff is very welcoming and awesome. We will definitely be back!

    We ABSOLUTELY LOVE this hotel from the fact that it was mosquito free during out entire stay unlike the moon palace which we had moved from. Also the beach was crystal blue clear and very pleasant to swim in unlike the moon palace whose beach was filthy and dirty. At every level the staff was very pleasant specially the pool bar bartender Carlos. Our room was spacious, clean, and well organized. The one thing I would change is the electronic room key to an electronic bracelet to make going in/out of room easier; and also the safety box to be eletronic instead of using a key to open it. The food is not top of the line like other hotel restaurants (moon palace), but we find it to be above decent level for the money it was paid. From the statff members who park your car, take care of the check in process, take your luggage to your room, and serve your drinks have a very plesant attitude and are formidable people. WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK IN A HEART BEAT!:):)

    Worst Resort Food Ever!

    We read the reviews prior to booking, and there were definitely some truths about what people had to say about the resort. Pros: -best resort beach we've been to with soft sand and crystal clear blue water -off season (very low customers at resort) -gym had new equipment as well as a lot of variety -had no issue getting as much water or ice as we needed (contrary to other reviews) -our room was very clean, and we appreciated having clean towels and sheets daily Cons -every single station at the buffet, every bar, and every waiter accepted tips. It was very much in our face everywhere we went. We wish there was a change machine on the resort because we brought money from an ATM, and only had big bills. Unfortunately, no one had change at the resort or at any of the shops. -the resort is on its' last legs. When customers check out, there is a separate maintenance person that goes behind the cleaning lady to patch and repair the rooms as well as resort. We also witnessed the maintenance dept. fixing and patching areas all over the resort during our stay. -the shower water smells like sewage water. -there are mosquitos at dark, bring repellant. -the food is really of low quality, especially the meat. We received an invite for a sunset cruise. When we boarded, it quickly turned into a party cruise with loud music, drinking, and dancing. We went to the top of the boat, and enjoyed the quiet and sightseeing. It was a great part of our trip. We will not be returning

    Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is 40 years old and looks it!!!! Service is extremely poor even down to the refilling if your mini bar. NO air conditioning in the lobby or restaurants or in the 60’s bar which is more like the 110 Degrees bar. Hotel manager cannot speak English the general upkeep is shocking and the roof leaks in most places. Lack of any quality entertainment and they keep pushing the coco bongo at 10pm in the lobby 400 times a day. Just an all round SHOCKING hotel do not even bother To go there. And it is very expensive for nothing!!!!!
