    I have read the previous recent reviews and would agree with much of what has been said. The hotel is a little tired but it added to it's quaintness. The food we had was pleasant and tasty, they were doing their best considering the threat from the virus. I would like to mention Vincent and Valentino who kept us supplied with cocktails. The rooms were a good size with fab sea views. The beds were uncomfortably hard. A special mention must go to Melinda who gave me two fantastic massages, a must for anyone wanting to feel relaxed, with a view of the sea and the lapping of waves! Great. Thanks to all the team. I understand that the hotel was having to close shortly after we left. Wish you all the very best.

    Wonderful holiday

    We stayed here from 27 February 2020 for two weeks. We booked a ocean view room, but was upgraded to an ocean front. The room was spacious and had everything we needed except an iron. We did take a travel iron with us, but could have got one from reception. The room had a lovely view across the pool and resort and sea and was beautifil to see the resort and pool lit up at night. All the staff without exception were brilliant, friendly and very efficient, but the reception staff were amazing. They went out of their way to ensure you had the best time and were super helpful. I've seen comments about the sun loungers not reclining, but it is only the wicker ones that are rigid. All the rest recline and are comfortable. We never had a problem getting a lounger on the beach or by the swimming pool whatever time of day. We was out about 7.00am most days and There were people reserving loungers and going back to bed. That is wrong. We also saw a group of people who thought nothing of reserving both beach and pool chairs for the days, so they could flit between pool and beach. This should be addressed as it is greedy, but on the whole loungers were available all the time. The food was excellent, good choice and nicely cooked and the setting is unbelievable. We have travelled the Caribbean widely and never had such a perfect setting for the bar and restaurant. The Italian owners have two dogs and there was 4 cats while we was there. It was lovely to see them padding around and made most people smile. There should be a photo board with their pictures and names so the guests know who they are. The pets were the icing on the cake for those that miss their own furry friends back home. The hotel location makes it easy to get out and about. We hired a car for a couple of days and there is plenty of off road parking. We took a bus to St John's. If you ask, reception woll ring the bus people and the bus will pick you up outside the hotel. When you return the bus will drop you back at the hotel. Very easy and cheap. If you want a laid back, peaceful holiday where you can truly relax and be well looked after this is the place to be. We will definitely be booking here again and looking forward to it.

    A big thank you to the staff & owners for keeping the hotel running to such a high standard during the current CV situation. If they can pull this off under these conditions it must be amazing when they aren't subject to these extreme circumstances! It's a gem of a hotel with lots of character. Do remember you are paying for a 3 star. I must say though there were elements which warranted 4 star. The Italian food was a real treat & special thanks for the sushi. Drinks wise...wine very good & cocktails were professionally done. Views from room were 5 star & both the pool & beach areas were lovely. The deck area for drinks is one of the best bars with a seaview. Would just like to say on behalf of Brits who like to travel & experience culture, apologies for those who continually moan & demand egg & chips. So embarrassing! Especially considering the extreme circumstances. Thanks again for keep our holiday going right until the end. FABULOUS!!!

    In view of the Corona virus hanging over everyone, the staff were very good, and the hotel had a club atmosphere with everyone chatting. We were glad we were on a British Airways holiday as the Virgin passengers kept getting their flights cancelled and their rep did not turn up! Our Oceanview room was lovely and the cleaners were excellant. As the water is Solar heated, it will not be hot in the early morning, Food hygeine was very good and hand cleanser was used as you entered the restaurant (except by a French couple who refused it). The hotel condition overall was very good although not for people with mobility problems as there are a lot of steps.

    we returned from ocean point at the end of january and both my partner and i came back with a very bad virus,which had similarities to the current covid 19.We both had hacking coughs and my partner had a high temperature which her doctor thought she had a lung infection.Other people at the hotel were also coughing.Asyou are probably aware the hotel is run by Italians and they had several italian visitors while we were there.It would be interesting to know if anyone else came back with similar ailments. the property was very tired and the food and drink were very much the same every day.As somebody else has mentioned on somedays there was a strong sewage smell which also came up into the bathroom as there were no sink plugs. staff tried there hardest but the hotel needs a lot of money spent on it to even bring it to a three star. stayed in hotels all over the world but this was probably the worst.
