Aston at the Waikiki Banyan has scheduled upcoming maintenance, renovation and modernization projects which may impact guest accommodations.
Elevator Modernization Project
- Elevator modernization work will commence on April 22, 2024, and continue through April 30, 2025.
- Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Each elevator will take approximately 13 weeks to modernize.
- Each tower has four elevators, and only one elevator will be out of order at a time. Therefore, throughout this project, there should be three remaining elevators in each tower in operation for use by owners and guests.
6th Floor Recreation Deck Restroom Renovation
- Work has already started and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, will be completed by May 27, 2024.
- Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- While the project is ongoing, the 6th floor restrooms and the sauna will be closed.
- The BBQs and recreation deck remain accessible for all owners and guests. The pool and Jacuzzis will remain open for use until the Annual Pool & Jacuzzi Maintenance project (described below) begins.

Beyond our expectations, fantastic hotel & staff -would stay again!

This was our 2nd trip to Oahu but after a disappointing stay (in 2023) at another hotel we tried the Aston Waikiki at the Banyan without expectations but the hotel suite they gave us was terrific! Kelley upgraded us to a higher floor (id initially asked for 2 twins cos we wanted more floorspace to move around in) but we got 2 double beds and the suite was so large it was not an issue, the view was something we`d never even dreamed of getting on out budget! All the staff we dealt with were sooo nice. We couldn`t fault anything about the hotel even though they were doing a renovation on the pool & a elevator it did not impact us at all -the beaches are better than any pool right? Id read some negative reviews like the elevator taking a long time but we didnt experience that at all. We had a great balcony with table/chairs to drink our coffee at in the morning as we watched the sunrise everyday The beds and pillows were comfortable and the rooms window air conditioner had no "preset limitations" so we could adjust it to our liking and be comfortable. The living room had lots of places to sit. It was such a joy to wake up in a well equipped spacious room. Our plane wasn`t until the evening so they held our baggage till we asked for them. The location was great for us because it was on the quieter side of Waikiki and within walking distance & transportation. WE WOULD NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE

You'd probably be much better staying at one of the hotels in the area. The location is great, but the hotel is not going to make for a relaxing stay. It's in a pretty bad state of disrepair.
