PERFECT Resort for a Destination Wedding!!!

Everything about our trip & wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun was more than exceptional and exceeded our expectations! The excellent staff and their efforts to be so accommodating and provide amazing service to us is what really stood out to us and made our experience unforgettable! We booked our stay about a year in advance and started planning our wedding with Anabel Vazquez (our wedding coordinator). She was more than amazing and not only helped us with our wedding, but also helped provide us with information about the resort, the restaurants, other accommodations so before we even got there, we knew what to expect, which was so nice. We brought almost 90 guests with us (family and friends for the wedding) and everyone's experience was just as great as ours because of the excellent staff and how well they all took care of us! We highly recommend using HOLA WEDDINGS as a travel agent if you're planning a destination wedding. We weren't exactly sure how to coordinate the room blocking, transportation, and reservations for a guest list of 90 people traveling from all over the USA so we reached out to a couple travel agents and found Hola Weddings! Hola Weddings are the ones that really made the trip possible for us and our guests, they handled every step of the reservations, room blocking, transportation and communication with the resort. Before we left for the trip we saw some reviews that mentioned bland and boring foods, which might be the case for the grab and go items but we had a chance to eat at every restaurant and every meal we had was excellent and the wait staff was responsive and entertaining. Our favorites were the Italian and the Asian restaurants, but we'd recommend eating at all of them! Upon arrival we upgraded to the presidential suite for our entire stay and it was well worth it for having guests and honeymooning! It gave us direct access to the beach, a private cabana/ Bali bed every day, 2 Jacuzzi's and a plunge pool, as well as lots of space for our guests and the bridal party to hang out. Any time we needed something like the housekeeping or concierge would take care of it for us! During our stay we scheduled 2 massages as well as a hydrotherapy treatment at the Spa that was part of our honeymoon package. The Spa area was tropical, beautiful and relaxing, the hydrotherapy pools were a great experience, and the massage rooms made the experience feel like we were on our own island. The spa staff guided us through the experience like tour guides and like we were the only ones there! The day before our wedding we booked the VIP Cabana for the day. The experience was great, they gave us our own servers that kept our drinks full, helped with the music, and helped our guests with anything they needed while we had our own area to hang out. The service at the cabana was excellent, a few of the VIP cabana staff that took great care of us were Blanca and Freddy as well as the team of bartenders at the preferred club beach bar. Now onto the wedding events... The wedding staff who made our experience unforgettable and so amazing were Anabel Vazquez (our wedding coordinator), Emmanuel, and Charlie. During our planning with Anabel, she gave us many great recommendations and was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and understanding. She ensured that every single detail we asked for was accommodated and that it was perfect and beautiful! Our first event was the Welcome Cocktail that was hosted at the Jacuzzi area. The Jacuzzi location gave us a private area and kept us out of the wind (it was unusually windy during our wedding weekend). Our favorite hors d'oeuvres were the shrimp skewers with avocado and the watermelon with balsamic. The sound system technician was great and played our playlist without any issues and at the perfect volume. In terms of the details, Anabel helped coordinate all the beautiful decor for us and made sure we had a combination of cocktail tables, and some shorter tables with chairs for our elderly guests, and it was so beautiful. We also had 90 welcome bags for each of the guest and Charlie helped gather all the bags from our room and had them set up on a table at the Welcome Cocktail and they looked so great! We had a signature cocktail and everyone enjoyed it! We ended up staying at the jacuzzi for longer than the hour we had it reserved for and all of the staff was so kind and just cleaned up out of the way while we were still talking with our guests. We really appreciated the staff's patience and also for how well Charlie did with everything for that event! For our wedding, we had the ceremony location scheduled at the lobby staircase and the reception location scheduled at the beach deck (we used our cocktail our as our welcome event, but if we could do it over, we would take Anabel's recommendation to do a separate welcome event, and keep the cocktail hour because guests did spread out around the resort after the ceremony and it was hard to get them all back together for the reception.) While we were getting ready in our separate suites for the wedding, Anabel and Charlie delivered all the bouquets and boutonnieres to our rooms and let us know that the weather was not looking great. Due to the weather we moved our reception into the board room and there was no problem, at all. Anabel and her team immediately starting setting up in there and getting everything ready! Our wedding ceremony was the most beautiful ceremony we've ever been to! Our ceremony was at the lobby staircase and the wedding staff had it decorated so beautiful! Again, Anabel and her team ensured every detail we asked for was accounted for and she really brought our vision to life! It was more beautiful than we could have imagined and also very simple, just like us! Everything with the music for the prelude worked out so perfectly (we had one of our guests play the saxophone and he met with the technician 30 mins before the ceremony and it went very smoothly). We originally planned to have our reception at the beach deck but due to the wind and high chance of rain we decided to move the reception to the ball room that morning, and we enjoyed the ballroom much more than expected because there was no wind, a private space, and air-conditioning. The ballroom was decorated nicely with drapes, lighting, and had lots of space with a large dance space for 90 people. We had our own waiter named David that was dedicated to serving us. As we were dancing he would watch our drinks closely and as soon as we finished our drinks he would have another full drink waiting for us. We found Esteban Bahena Photography through instagram and used him and his team for our photography and videography. Their team was very efficient, and fun to work with and we had an amazing time working with them. We're very glad we chose to use Esteban Bahena for our wedding photography! Again, we can't get over how hard and efficiently the staff worked to take care of us and make this stay more than we could've expected! We are going to plan many more trips back here because of the excellent staff and service and also because of how beautiful the resort was! Our overall experience was even better than we expected and we are thrilled we chose Dreams Riviera Cancun for this special trip! We will definitely be planning anniversary trips back to this resort!
