The Perfect Honeymoon

Jake T on May 11, 2024

The only negative about La Toc was that we had to leave… it was absolutely incredible from the time we got off the shuttle to the moment we started our return to the airport. The food was great throughout the entire week (we easily put on 10 lbs each) and the staff were everything we could have asked for. Travis and Wendy were particularly a pleasure to meet! Travis went out of his way to say hey to us all week, bought us ice cream and water without us going to him first, and was a pleasure to talk to as we were leaving. Wendy was the perfect person to lead the night time snorkeling - great attitude and made the entire experience a blast! As we’re sitting in the lobby getting ready to leave, we’re already planning our next trip back!

fantastic time! Highly recommend!

Just finished up a week at this place and man can I not praise them enough. The island and resort in themself are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Our room exceeded our expectation and was kept clean by the beautiful Macrina. Honestly If I could list every employee on here I would but a few stand out. Let’s start with my new family from all the members of the entertainment team my ladies Janiah, Shanna helping fix my dance moves and rocking the pool bar and my BOYS! Jerquan, Martin and Demario matching my energy and keeping the party bumping. Sophia popping up all over the resort with a smile and giggle making the island even brighter as well as Charles dressed up as a butler but not mine (I didn’t have one this time) still giving his all and just maintains the happiness of this place. John at pool bar never letting a beer glass get dry and Barbara the mixologist making her signature peach water and after a few of those I always relied on the shuttle guys and I again I don’t remember all the names but Haggai was great helping with the island vibes on the short trips up the hill. My final shout out is for Maggie in photos just catching the light to make memories last forever. The team at sandals La Toc truly helped this beautiful island get even better. Thanks again guys and gals.

Perfect Honeymoon

Tivoli K on May 10, 2024

We just got back from the most perfect honeymoon at La Toc. From the minute we got to the resort we were blown away by the friendliness of every staff member as well as the beauty of the island and resort. One of our favorite staff members was Brent in water sports. He is such a gem! Made the day of everyone he encountered. Brent helped guests find seats at the pool, made connections between guests, gave new towels, brought us ice cream as a surprise and always had a smile. We stayed in a two story butler suite (B2P) which was gorgeous!! For us the room and having a butler were extravagant but we are so glad we splurged for this trip, it was magical. Our team of butlers were incredible!!! We had Clovis, Donavan and Gerland and can’t rave about them enough. They truly went above and beyond every day to make us feel special. From romantic baths, to surprise treats, to towel animals to all the saved beach/pool spots, to meals brought to us at the pool or room, to reservations they made, they helped us to enjoy every second of our trip and not have to worry about anything. Donavan and Clovis in particular really shone for us, we really hit the butler jackpot. The room we had was unreal. It was recently (in the last year) redone and just perfect. Facing west over the ocean we got beautiful sunsets. We didn’t know if we’d use the private pool much but ended up swimming in it most afternoons while watching the sunset and enjoying some charcuterie and wine or champagne our butlers left for us. It was never too cold like we had heard it might be, it was always refreshing at the end of the day. During most days we relaxed at the pool or beach. Before visiting we read that there were often red flag days where you couldn’t swim. Every day we were there the flags were green or yellow. Coming from the east coast of the US, to us the waves were very mild, almost nonexistent even on yellow flag days. We snorkeled several times and saw tons of cool fish, some squid and lobsters. We did the Jeep Soufrière trip and it was one of the highlights of our time there. Getting to the waterfall was so beautiful, the mud bath and hot springs were so fun and the lunch at a local place overlooking the Pitons was a perfect end. The only thing I didn’t love was the ride there and back. It was great to see so much of the island but I was terrified. The roads were incredibly steep and windy which I’m already not used to but especially not while riding in an open air vehicle with no seatbelts. If we could do it again I’d definitely do the other version of this tour which was by boat and included some snorkeling but I wouldn’t miss the stops we made! Our tour guides were incredible and made it so fun. Dining during the trip was mostly great. We ate at Armando’s once for dinner and many times for breakfast - we loved their breakfast! Dinner was pretty good but we’re from NJ in an areas known for amazing Italian so it was pretty mediocre but service was great. Pitons was a nice dinner, the coffee rubbed steak was amazing! We ate lunch at Neptunes once really enjoyed everything we had! We had Pizza from Napoli’s most days for lunch and loved it plus it was so convenient on the beach! Our least favorite restaurant was La Toc. The service wasn’t great and food was just okay. We did like their French onion soup and heard other couples say it was their favorite dinner so maybe it was just an off night. We ate breakfast at the Pavillion a few times and enjoyed it, we didn’t go for lunch or dinner though. Kimonos was really good food and fun, but very hot (half the table left immediately after dinner because it was unbearable- and it was an air conditioned place so we didn’t know why it wasn’t turned up). Also we didn’t enjoy how many people were squished around the table- people on the corners didn’t have a place for their plates or knees. The rest of our meals were outstanding! We LOVED Soy, the sushi was incredible. Our private beach dinner was delicious. We went to Halcyon and ate at Kelly’s Dockside (which was our favorite dinner of the trip) and Gordon’s at The Grand which we also loved (and was a close second favorite). We have been raving over the whole experience to all of our friends and family. Sandals La Toc was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect spot for any honeymoon or special occasion trip!
