    Crappy rundown worse than a motel

    We stayed with Knotts Berry Farm hotel in room 340 for four nights from March 11 to March 15 Rooms were out dated with filthy floors, walls, windows, coverings, water pressure while taking shower would change automatically. ( like if Neighbour was using water) Floors were disgusting and dirty, windows and coverings were very dirty, wall and ceiling paint was peeling. This hotel is in serious need of upgrades. I have travelled to California many time this was the worst hotel experience ever and it was very depressing, We arrived at 1 am and was waken up by loud noise coming from next room. The rooms are not sound proof at all. I requested to change rooms and was denied. This hotel is worse than a motel.

    Spur of the moment trip and was able to book a room a few days out. Service was great, snoopy visited the lobby and at breakfast. We purchased our tickets for Knotts Berry Farm and Soak City through the hotel because of the discounted prices. Walking distance to both parks and close to multiple restaurants and activities. Very convenient!!!

    I stayed at Knott’s Berry Farm for three days and came away very pleased. I would stay here again and would gladly recommend to friends back home that may visit SoCal and be looking for accommodations. I got a great deal when I booked my stay via a local airline that offered an air/hotel package. That being said, I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve read a lot of the reviews and do agree, the hotel is older. That isn’t the fault of the staff. I’ve also read that it is noisy. That was true on one night of my stay but was because children were allowed to run in the hall by the adults they were with and were not using quiet voices. Again, not the fault of hotel staff. I’ve read management responses that they are in the process of upgrading. If this is true - it will be 5-stars without a doubt. The staff was wonderful throughout my stay. Very friendly, kind and accommodating at check-in, when I had questions and at check out as I had to leave my luggage for a late flight out. The rooms are older but mine was clean, and comfortable. All the necessary linens are provided as well as the standard hotel shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The room also had a hairdryer. Perfect! There is a pool area, that I did not visit but was very busy so I take that to mean it was fun and guests were enjoying themselves. You are very close to the actual theme park and soak city - which again, I did not use but if you plan to - they are short walks away. The location of the hotel is wonderful to Southern California. I was able to take public transit into Downtown LA and down to Huntington Beach. You are also not far to be able to Uber or Lyft back and forth to closer places. Note - it takes time to take the bus (1-1.5 hours, maybe 2 depending on traffic) places so plan ahead but for $2.00 it is a great way to see the city and residents I encountered were very friendly with directions and willingness to help. I highly recommend the MetroLink which is about 1/2 hour into Union Station but note trains only run until 9:30 in the morning and not again until 6pm in the evening. There is a mall about a mile away with a movie theater. There is a Walgreens across the street and down about 1/2 a block for snacks and pop/chips. My last day I ate at the Amber Waves restaurant in the hotel for lunch to take advantage of the 20% coupon they gave me when I checked in. Despite reviews I’ve read here - it was a decent meal and again - the staff was welcoming, kind and efficient. Thanks for a great stay Knott’s Berry Farm. If I’m in SoCal again - I’ll be back.

    Still at the Hotel, rooms are maybe a bit tired, but having said that they are clean, bedding and towels are spotless. Restaurant food, as a family of five found we really good at a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful. Pool area never crowded. On the whole I from my personal experience I would recommend this hotel.

    Recently went to Knotts Berry Farm Hotel for the first time with family for a vacation. We choose the hotel because they offered a package on reduced tickets to the Knotts Berry Amusement park and was close by. First, the hotel is on the older side as others have written, perhaps similar to a hotel from the 1990's early 2000. The rooms are functional but are dated. Our room faced the splash pad/pool and at 11pm I could hear the people from the pool (i was in 5th floor) and windows were closed....so as others have written, thin walls. My room came with power surge bar as there were not enough electrical outlets on wall. A power surge bar does not show as a higher end hotel in my view...as I do not recall seeing a power surge bar for guests in other major hotels. Amber Waves buffet breakfast that came with hotel and park package was very disappointing....would not pay if I had to do there again. I have seen better breakfasts at other hotels for what was offered. Food just did not taste good. Service was good by all staff in hotel....just the issues above with hotel room and buffet is where improvements need to be made.
