In addition to the amazing service by ALL of the hotel staff, the location was perfect! Walking distance to main sites and just a 5-7 minute walk to the rail station to attractions that were outside of the city. Also near the free shuttles to Capilano suspension bridge (Canada Place was the closest shuttle stop). There was no Lyft or Uber service (yet) but a load of taxi's roaming about so transport was quite easy. The hotel is also walking distance to the ferry (best to use cash) so you can hop on and visit Granville Island (...or take a taxi but that would be less fun). There is also a direct rail line from the aeroport to the hotel (Waterfront stop). Stayed in the king suite with partial view on the 19th floor. Room was well appointed and clean. The view was nice too! There was a separate living space and the sofa had an option to convert into a full size bed (not sure about the comfort level). The bed however, was really comfortable, like sleeping on clouds. The hotel keeper kept the bathroom and mini coffee station fully stocked. Excellent visit overall and would definitely stay here again!

I loved staying here. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because their king suite "city view" was of other buildings and not a great view of the city like the picture on this page, and because the lobby was so overpowered with some kind of perfume, deodorizer, potpourri, something. The smell almost makes you sick if you are in the lobby too long. I am all about having the hotel smell good but this was WAY too much. Other than that the place was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic, walking distance to so many restaurants and there are usually yellow cabs waiting at the hotel in case you need one. The King Suite was perfect for my husband and myself and our son. It's roomy and so nice to have a separate bedroom so we could close the door and watch tv at night after my son went to bed. I highly recommend staying here. One other item to note, they do have room service but it's basically take out from their restaurant. It was still good but just a heads up if you are expecting the room svc experience on a tray w/real plates and cutlery, it comes in TO GO containers in a brown bag. :)

    Excellent/friendly service, decent location

Enjoyed our 2 night stay during Xmas. As platinum members we received a couple cookies at check in, a lovely dessert platter delivered to our room, breakfast buffet passes (access to the hot buffet option which was maybe $29 or so per person), and $13 CAD food and beverage vouchers (2 for each night). We paid for parking in the lot next door which offered convenient in and out privileges. We had a nice upgrade to a partial harbor view room which was nice- there was a separate living area. 2 TVs but the channel options were limited as someone mentioned already. The restaurant is in the process of being renovated so the food options during breakfast were the same both days- eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, fried rice, vegetarian curry, yogurt, fruit, a couple hot items like eggs with beans and eggs with potatoes on the side. We used both f&b vouchers in one day on drinks during happy hour. The second day we wanted to reheat our leftovers and requested a microwave via the app. The request was answered promptly and the microwave was delivered as requested. Excellent service! Overall location is nice as you can walk to gastown and maybe a 10 min walk to Robson st shopping. Really not a bad choice with the room renovations and the entire hotel being suites. Would recommend.

Great location, superb restaurant food, rooms clean and comfortable. Love Marriott Staff friendly during Chek in and check out. A last minute Christmas Eve staycation and a wonderful stay. This hotel is close to the main shopping area, waterfront is one block away and close to transit. Underground parking is available onsite

I really wanted to love my stay here, but it left a bit to be desired... The rooms are nice and clean - but they definitely look larger in the photos, I was actually quite surprised at how small it was, even after we upgraded. And on the note on the upgrade - as an Expedia Plus member I'm used to receiving complimentary upgrades at VIP Access hotels (like this one). The only thing I was offered here was the opportunity to upgrade to a balcony suite on the 21st floor, for the price of $50 (I was told it was originally $150 "but because it's Christmas" they offered it to me for $50 - so no mention of my status). It was fine, and the location was fine, just not exceptional like I had hoped.
