Thanks to the entertainment team, esp- dayreth for making this trip fun. From your bingo to ping pong, from the dance class to the games. Had so much fun. Food was good, had a variety. Restaurant services were super slow. We tri ed Bamboo and Italian, they were good, It was your toture waiting for the food to be served, so we decided to stick to the buffet. Overall, it's a good family resort and you have access to viva Maya as well. It will be awesome to play Music by the pool more often. Its super hot,and humid, so be prepared to sweat. Also non smoking resort
Great location with some flaws concerning pool water quality and smoking areas. Best animation team ever.

We’ve spend 12 days at the resort and enjoyed our stay. The situation with the sargassum was really frustrating but nothing that the resort could do about it. The resort is really beautiful with some animals. But there were things that weren’t good. The first and very important thing is the water quality in the pool. If your customers aren’t able to enjoy the beach you should do everything that they can enjoy the pool. The pool was closed on 2 days because some children took a dump in the pool. That was really bad because the weather was quite hot and you couldn’t cool down. The next day the water was really refreshing because it got fresh water. The rest of our stay I would say that they rather used chlorine instead of fresh water. The water quality was so bad that my beard turned yellow. I also had to get one of the responsible person to show him that there was some dirty green soapy foaming in the pool. The water maybe had 34 degrees celsius and wasn’t really any refreshment. Fresh water would have done the trick. 4/10 points There are only 2 smoking areas. If you’re a smoker it will be a vacation with a lot of restrictions. I would say that my wife and my daughter were 20% of our vacation on their way to the smoking area-smoking-on their way back from smoking. They are very strict with smokers. The is a 200$ fine if you’re caught smoking outside of the areas. 4/10 Most of the time when I’m on vacation I hate animations in the resorts. But the team at the Viva Azteca is great. They aren’t annoying in any way. They were very friendly, extremely motivated and so helpful. Our daughter hurt her hips during some dancing and had to stay in a wheel chair for the last 4 days. The animations team were so caring that our girl could enjoy her last days. Special thanks to Mitchelle and Fernando. They were like family members and helped her and us so that the 4 days were still enjoyable. Mitchelle took her to lunch, Fernando helped her to get on the catamaran and took her on a ride beyond the sargassum. The team gets 12 from 10 points. OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks Mitchelle, Fernando and all the others. Hope to see you again.
