Pre-wedding site visit April 2024

Hagop M on Jul 06, 2024

Recently, my fiancé and I went to Cabo for a pre-wedding site visit/mini vacation before our wedding in October 2024! From the moment our driver pulled up to the hotel we were greeted with an abundance of hospitality. We have been to several hotels in Cabo over the years nothing compared or came close to the experience we had at Garza Blanca Los Cabos. Our host/wedding coordinator Yvette, went above and beyond setting this trip up. We have been speaking with her for months going over details of our wedding. Pre-arrival, she sent us a detailed itinerary for our visit which we really appreciated because it allowed us to plan the rest of our stay, we didn't even leave the hotel lol. Once we got checked in, We were introduced to Mr. Daniel! He was our assigned butler for the weekend. Talk about class, he was such a gentleman! He set us up to get comfortable and changed until our rooms were ready. He said once the room is ready he will find us and let us know and sure enough he did. Once it was, he escorted us to our room and gave us a full breakdown of the room and he made sure we were settled before he left. Our room was very spacious, modern and had a hammock in the balcony. The room had such a vibe! The following day we had the pleasure of working with Daniel's partner Ana Sofia. Whatever we needed they were on top of it! After we got settled, we just explored the hotel until our dinner reservations at the steakhouse Bocados. I don’t even know where to begin with the level of service/hospitality that we received during dinner. Our server Rodrigo was next level! All the food we ate at the hotel was delicious. Lastly, big shout out to David! He is one of the pool concierges we meet at the adult pool and the pleasure of experiencing his amazingness… Future manager in my opinion. Look forward to coming back in October, thank you again Garza Blanca and your amazing staff.

Great first visit in Cabo at Garza Blanca

jrussell1621 (Phoenix, Arizona) on Jul 06, 2024

My wife and I have visited Cabo three times as a couple, and we were excited to take our first family vacation with our 2.5-year-old toddler. After months of researching resorts that met our major needs (food, location, service, room quality, etc.), we decided on Garza Blanca due to its excellent marketing and reputation for family-oriented services that don’t sacrifice good food and adult fun. Here are the highlights: Pros: • Service: Top-notch. All staff members, from housekeeping to front desk and bartenders, are well-trained, attentive, and polite. Special shoutout to Julio the bellhop for his exceptional service. • Food: Above average for an all-inclusive. The restaurant menus are varied enough to try something different each visit. While it’s not equivalent to a non-inclusive 5-star property (the sushi isn’t from Nobu and the steak isn’t from Mastro’s), it’s great for what it is, and most guests will likely enjoy the offerings. Noi was our favorite restaurant—we went back two nights in a row because it was that good. • Rooms: Spacious and ideal for families. Standard suites have two separate rooms with a large divider, making them perfect for parents traveling with kids. Two bathrooms and a kitchen make it more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room. The beds were so comfortable that we took naps on four different days, a rarity for us in hotels. • Views: Stunning. Pink sunsets on the beach and almost 360-degree ocean views. • Spa: Superb. While it’s pricey, it’s worth it if you enjoy spa treatments. Cons: • Crowds: The experience can be dampened by crowds. We visited the first week of July, expecting it to be a slow season, but it turned out to be a popular time due to the July 4th holiday. When things are busy, service and overall experience can suffer. For example, all restaurant reservations before 7 PM were booked a week before our trip, leaving us with only 9 PM options, which isn’t ideal with a toddler. We managed to get some earlier reservations thanks to the concierge, but it’s best to book reservations as soon as possible. • Service Speed: Service can be slow, especially for drinks. One morning we waited 25 minutes for coffee, and at dinner, I had to flag down our waiter twice to get the check. While the manager was apologetic and appreciated the feedback, it was still disappointing. • Pool Loungers: With five or six pools, including a main large one and a kiddie pool with splash pads, the poolside service was good. However, prime lounge chairs are often reserved by timeshare residents, requiring you to wake up at 6:30 AM to secure a decent spot. Otherwise, you might not find a pool spot at all. • Billing: Oddly, you’re expected to sign every bill at the resort as if it’s not all-inclusive. This can be minor but annoying, especially since I tipped in cash the whole week. Having to sign repeatedly took away from the experience. Overall, we had a good time and will likely return, ideally when it’s less busy to get the real feel of an exclusive resort. I highly recommend this place for families, but couples without kids might want to consider Le Blanc next door.
