“Great Location, But Customer Service Needs Improvement”

Passport28705816393 on Feb 15, 2025

Pros: The hotel is in a great location and offers nice amenities like breakfast and happy hour, which we appreciated. Cons: Some staff could benefit from better training, though this likely starts at the corporate level. For example, we reserved and paid for an oceanfront king room, but upon arrival, we were told they were overbooked and only had a smaller queen (which felt more like a full-size bed). While mistakes happen, there was no apology or effort to make it right. Additionally, at the end of our stay, we requested a simple one-hour late checkout, but Jeru informed us it wasn’t possible, without much explanation or flexibility. These may seem like small issues, but better customer service could elevate this hotel to a top-tier experience. I’d consider staying here again if I found a great deal, but with better-trained staff, I’d be willing to pay more for the overall experience. I hope this feedback is helpful for management

Bad vibes in what could have been a decent stay

Jane B on Feb 13, 2025

Very disappointed in value for an expensive charter vacay purchased through Air Canada. After the long lineup at front desk for check in after traveling over 10 hours.-They demanded a Credit card for security and charged 1,100.00 Canadian dollars-I said that's outrageous!-They said- Don't worry You'll get your balance back when you check out. Not! I asked for my balance the morning I departed and have a receipt stating $309.00 was charged at their restaurants. Where is my balance? They said "Your bank will figure that out when you get back home." NOT- I was charged the round sum of $450.00 Ca.My bank says that the hotel decide the exchange rate and that I'm at their mercy. This is a RIPOFF and I haven't received any adjustment from Hilton. I'm disabled and asked for a handicap friendly room - before I went on the trip. One was not provided and I was given the 3rd farthest hotel room from the elevators on the ground floor with a view of a hedge and a washroom building. They call that the nature view.... I asked twice over the week to be moved and nothing was available. If you don't have a car ,there is no restaurant or store within rolling distance for a solo disabled. I ate at their restaurants and the food was hit and miss.( Picture below of my cold rare cheeseburger in paradise) The (free)breakfast buffet is adequate but be prepared to bus your own table and have pesky attendants ask for tips by handing you a "bill". I never used the initial green drink ticket for a free cocktail as the lines were horrendous and it was simpler to go and buy your own drink elsewhere. The hotel itself is nice but these details made it regrettable.
