Poor avoid

I’ve just spent two weeks at this hotel and to be honest it’s a great place to stop at if you have very low expectations. Although the rooms were clean the whole hotel is very dated and nothing like the photos on here. The food is average and kitchen is a bit tied and off putting. Our room was damp with water dripping off the ceiling so had to complain and get moved. After spending two weeks there you also see lots of other people complaining @ reception. The WiFi is very poor and the use the excuse that the weather is to do with it but is fine everywhere else on the island. There was one good think at this hotel the lady on the gift shop was lovely and very helpful as was most of the hotel staff. I definitely won’t be returning here.
Budget hotel all inclusive

Brutally honest review, Good and Bad.. so lets start with the GOOD, the hotel is only around 15-20 mins from the airport so transfer time is really good, we walked into the reception, which was clean and a nice bouquet of flowers on the table, the young lady on reception was lovely, helpful and checked us in quickly with very little fuss.. our room was on the 3rd floor, 2 lifts that were very quick, air conditioning in rooms was really nice worked well , the hotel is dated and in need of upgrading but clean , 2 nice large beds and a fridge in the room , there were plenty of coat hangers and drawers and a nice little terrace with table and chairs and a view to die for over the pool and sea.. the bathroom had plenty towels and was clean and supplied with toiletries and plenty toilet rolls , We have stayed in all inclusive budget hotels previously and although the food wasn't restaurant quality it was hot varied and definitely edible, with bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, potatoes, cereal, fruit and fruit juices , yogurt, ham and cheese, pastries etc every morning for breakfast, lunch was chicken fish or cheese/egg salads with hot food as well ie soups burgers etc and dinner was very6 often chicken or fish with rice or potatoes , but also there were roast dinners curries pasta etc , i cant imagine anyone going hungry, the dining room was clean and staff friendly enough, although they could have smiled a little more.. the toilets in the communal area were spotless and well stocked.. the bar was open from 10am until midnight, but was very often staffed with 4 staff in the day time and only one at night which seemed a little odd.. the bar staff were friendly but again could have smiled a little more.. was a good selection of drinks although the island only really has orange sprite and cola.. the beach is amazing, clean white sand with gorgeous very warm sea.. watch for the flags on the beach and take heed of them , we didnt take advantage of the water sports on offer so cant really comment on them now lets deal with the BAD, the hotel is a budget hotel and it shows , its clean enough but very dated , we were expecting it to be dated as we have stayed in many budget hotels previously, the maintenance man was painting a few areas of the hotel, ie the stage and behind the bar and to be honest a 5yr old would have made a better job with less mess , but it was no real harm to anyone, there isnt all that much to do within the hotel other than a bit of water aerobics in a morning, a bingo session one afternoon a week, karaoke that relied on the WiFi that had a very poor connection , a DJ a couple times a week which also relied on the WiFi and there was a really nice fella who was supposed to be doing a wood burning class but really was just a selling exercise of his work , which was really good and we bought a couple from him, we were hoping it was going to be a demo of his work, the pool was a little murky although it was cleaned out of leaves and debris a couple times a day, people going in with sun cream left a oil slick on the top of the water, there were no where near enough sun beds and the same greedy people left towels on 24hrs a day to reserve them and so no one else ever got a look in , we did go on the beach a couple days and went round to the near by beaches that were more secluded and less populated.. while you are there you must visit Oistins on a Friday night, we went twice first time on the shuttle bus, the 2nd we walked down , its only about 15-20 mins walk and then you are not restricted to what time you come back.. All in all we had a great time , the hotel was about what we expected and we were perfectly happy with what we got for the price we paid , if we wanted luxury we knew we would have paid twice the price, we went on a couple of catamaran trips and visited the Mount Gay distillery while there and highly recommend them, we cant wait to go back again , and would definitely choose this hotel again , as it was good enough for the money ...
