Beautiful setting right on the beach. We spent a great fortnight here lazing by the pool and being entertained by Ron the DJ and Desiree. Room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. Food was very good with plenty of choice -maybe puddings could be a bit more varied as were mostly cake based.
The restaurant staff (Sandra and her team) work extremely hard as do the bar staff, Shaun and Gabriel (great dancing). Thanks to all the staff who made it a great holiday.

Stayed here for a week following a cuise. Allocated a room on 3rd floor which was described as a superior room with garden view. There was nothing superior about the room at all! It smelt foisty and the view was of a brick wall. After complaining we were given a room with a pool view on the ground floor the next day.
The only good thing about the hotel is its position with access to Maxwell beach.
There are birds flying around the dining room, landing on tables and eating from plates which weren't cleared away efficiently. There was little choice of food at buffet restaurant, especially at breakfast. We didn't try the a la cart e restaurant which is only available a couple of couple of times a week but friends said it was good.
There are no showers around the pool and a total of 12 cushions available for the plastic subeds.
On our final night there was a young man who had obviously had too much to drink swimming in the pool at 11.30pm, where was the security? The same man, who was in the room next door to ours was arguing with his partner at 2am. Screaming and slamming doors, again no security staff to be seen.
I know the hotel is 3 star but it is very dated and could do with refurbishment. Very disappointed with our first visit to Barbados.

i dont no why hayes travel would recommend this hotel.
On arrival we were allocated a room on the second floor which smelt mouldy overlooking the bar which was very noisy, the food was very poor and the local wildlife were constantley flying in and out and defcating on the tables where is the health and hygene.
There were two toasters available but by the third day we were down to a 2 burner which was extremly slow and caused a que. the food was very average and ran out all the time you had to que for eggs and omlettes and the staff constantley disappeared for 5 or 10 mins causing even more of a que, we found a live cockroach by the toaster but it ran of up the wall, the beer is served from the bottle and only available in a plastic tumbler and they only served bacon 4 times on the whole holiday.
The Hotel was well placed right by the beach although small was adequate the pool was small but functional the staff were not interested most of the time although some were more helpfull than others
we will not be returning but barbados itself is very beautifull.

Just returned from a week’s stay at Barbados Beach Club and overall it was a pleasant trip. We arrived late to check in due to baggage issues at the airport, but staff were lovely and polite and got us checked in quickly. They explained everything from the local tax to the beach towel payments. We were allocated room 212, this was supposed to be a superior room with a garden view, that it is not. The view is to be desired, a bright red fire escape staircase, and a full view of another rooms balcony. Queue curtains and door being fully closed for the week. There was a minimal view of the sea/pool area but it was difficult to look past the fire escape. The room was spacious, although 2 small double beds wasn’t the ideal but we made use of the second bed to lay stuff out on. There isn’t a net to accompany the curtains, so we tried to keep the door closed so it would keep out any mosquitos.
The room we were allocated was semi-dated there are big gaps around the door, so you could hear everybody coming in/out of the lift or up the stairs. The air con was also on the blink, we reported to reception and the thing seemed to kick back into life, we’d naively thought somebody had fixed it whilst we’d been out, but we were wrong. In the middle of our stay the ‘hotel manager’ and a ‘maintenance guy’ came to look at it, and mentioned it was a wiring issue. After that visit the whole thing gave up the ghost. The bathroom was spacious also, and towels and bedding made up and changed every day. The pressure was good, especially if showering off peak times.
Reception were also super helpful every time we visited them. They were able to help with restaurant reservation at the hotel & a car hire. Hire car is super easy, it was $300+ for 3 days and we managed to see the majority of the island whilst we had the car. Reception can also head you in the right direction of booking the Oistins shuttle bus on Friday evening. There is an hour and half between drop off and pick up, but if you did want to make your own way, reception can help book a taxi and there are lots of taxis hanging around waiting for fares at Oistins also. This is the same for St Lawrence Gap, we ordered a taxi from reception which was $15 and it was the same coming back. The hotel entertainment is really good. A mixture of activities and music to keep you going through the day. Our favourite band were the Bridgetown Boys, they were amazing & bingo by the pool in the afternoon with a beer is also just as good! The pool is small, as well as the beach but it fits everybody in, there are plenty of places to sit and grab a drink or sunbathe. The tortoises in the garden are adorable, such lovely touch.
The food and drink on offer were good, as a fussy eater I was worried that I’d struggle like I have in places before, but I was fine with the buffet put on over the 3 meals. Highlight is the fresh omelettes at breakfast. There is a bird issue, as people have prev mentioned but a quick waft and they soon go away. We booked a night in the restaurant, the food was outstanding but we had issues with the dress code. We were polite enough to ask what the dress code was for the restaurant, as we’d failed to be informed when booking - enclosed shoes, trousers and no shoulder on display. I had to gain ‘permission’ to wear my Birkenstock sandals, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with the opposite of for mentioned. We don’t have an issue with what people were wearing, just the drama reception caused by informing us we couldn’t wear what everybody else was. Other than the dress code issue, I would highly booking into the restaurant during your stay. All the staff are super friendly throughout the hotel and were always smiling and polite.
Overall, for my first visit to Barbados Beach Club and my OH’s second it was an okay experience, my OH had visited pre COVID and had expectations of it being the same, which unfortunately it wasn’t. I had nothing to compare too, so I would visit again if I wanted a decently priced Caribbean getaway.

Well what can I say ? Lovely Location , everything else that everyone has already said is absolutely True Awful Staff apart from a Few ,Dirty Pool That Gave Me a Skin Infection,Dirty Pool Area , Food was Plain and not Much of a Choice, was like doing a drug deal to get Bananas, Birds all over the Restaurant inside and outside couldn’t both leave the table as Table would get Robbed by Birds and they would poop everywhere. No Barbados Vibe anywhere and the Entertainment Was shocking. Our Dreams were shattered
