This was an early birthday trip for my wife after a week on a carribean cruise - hotel was lovely, food and drink was good, the staff are very friendly, helpful and make a real difference to your stay. Location is good on south coast, not far from west coast, our ocean front suite had a great view, the beach was lovely and the guys are happy to put up a shade if you need it. Plenty of local food and seafood, two speciality restaurants although we chose to use the Steakhouse twice as the first time was so good. The friendliness of the staff here is a key factor for us to return one day from the UK,

Absolutely fantastic hotel staff so friendly and cant do enough to help amazing beach plenty of sun loungers and an brilliant beach bar our room was gorgeous cleaned daily the whole hotel was spotless the food was delicious and varied the hotel also do some fab outings Ted's island tour was fantastic and the trip to oistins is a must the hotel entertainment was worth staying to watch for anyone coming to the island you couldn't find a better hotel than sugar bay it lived up to all of our expectations ??

We have just returned from a 14 night stay at the sugar bay Barbados, and what a wonderful hotel it is. The food was very good. I'm quite a fussy eater,but I could always find something I liked. The staff were smart helpful,pleasant and simply couldn't do enough for you. The owner of the hotel should be very proud of them all. We never got up early to put towels on sunbeds,yet after breakfast we always managed to get a lounger by the pool,and same when we went onto the beach. Our room was lovely spacious with a pool view, and when we able to return,we would definitely like the same room. Compliments: 10+/10, complaints: 0/10 A few staff members we remember are cherese (Hostess), Lashonda,Deeannéra,keshawna, plus the lovely tall gentleman who brus our special morning drink from the bar,along with many others,including the poolside bar staff and other bar staff. We honestly cannot rec5this hotel highly enough. It was the best however have ever had.

We stayed in Sugar bay for 10 nights for my 40th birthday. What an amazing holiday we had. The staff in this hotel are incredible- there are too many to name but a few are Natalie, Nicholas, Rimario, Kyle and many others! All the bar staff wer genuinely lovely and the drinks, from cocktails to smoothies were fantastic!!! The beach boys wer also a lovely bunch! We did not have one issues with staff. The place was just fantastic. We loved the decor of the rooms and the whole vibe of the hotel. We thought the food was just delicious- I think if u complain about the food and the choice, it’s maybe you that has issues, the choices were plentiful and the food was fresh and seasoned well, with a different choice each day for each meal. Colin’s was also great for a lunch. The signature restaurants were also 5 star! The sun loungers at the pool were so comfortable and never an issue to get one. The beach was the same, we enjoyed the water sports and also the snorkelling. The entertainment was also fabulous. Oistins is a MUST!!! We met lovely people and honestly understand why people come back time and time again. My husband used the spa which he also enjoyed. We will most definitely be back! The staff made my birthday so memorable and special and I am forever grateful that we chose Sugar bay! It was a dream come true!! We now need to look to book again!!!

We stayed here over Easter. Family of 4. Overall we had a lovely break. PROS buffet theme was changed daily À la carte restaurants were lovely Staff couldn’t do more for you Good evening entertainment CONS we could only get a sunbed once around the pool during our 11 night stay. All beds were gone by 7am!! Grounds of hotel inside and out always felt unkept. Outside chairs could do with a good tidy up before dinner, floors swept and tables cleaned
