Relaxation with an attention to detail

scottcX7729GG on Apr 08, 2024

Our stay at Naia Resort and Spa was just what we had hoped for. By far, the best part of our experience was the attention from the staff. Not only did they cater to our needs, they genuinely wanted to get to know us. The food at both on-site restaurants was excellent - local and fresh. The accommodations were spectacular - we stayed in a beach from studio. As we were preparing to check out, we had already begun the process of planning our next visit.

Relax in stunning, and beautifully maintained, surroundings

TravelPro05408 (Burlington, Vermont) on Mar 12, 2024

Naia fully deserves its rave reviews. The resort is beautifully designed and scrupulously maintained. Our private cottage was spacious and bright, and it could not have been cleaner. We were serenaded by birds when showering outside each morning. We enjoyed cooling off during the day and evening in the plunge pool that was integrated into our porch. The resort has a large team of staff members who were genuinely and uniformly friendly and helpful. There were security personnel who unobtrusively kept an eye on things throughout the resort's 200 acres--we always felt completely safe. We ate most meals at the on-site outdoor restaurant. The food was varied, delicious and fairly priced. The on-site baker does a great job with breads and rolls. Have the Go Green drink. What is there to do? The facilities include an elegant spa and a small but well-provisioned gym. We kayaked out to False Caye, an island a mile or so off the resort's beach and snorkeled around on a coral reef. Yes, we found Nemo. The resort will supply everything you need for the trip. Budget three hours. Visit Seine Bight, the Garifuna village a mile south of the resort. The Garifuna people have a distinct culture, and they enjoy their music. In my meanderings through the dirt streets, I felt safe and welcomed. One regret: It was difficult for us to arrange tours outside of the resort. The tours generally require at least four participants, and we were the only people interested in signing up for a couple of tours that we had wanted to take. So, plan ahead.

Belize Part 2...another amazing adventure!

Jean B on Mar 07, 2024

We spent the last 4 days of our Belize adventure at Naia Resort. We traveled with my daughter, her husband and 3 grandsons (7,9,9) and stayed at the Madera beach house. It was incredible! My daughter's family had the upper level with 3 bedrooms and my husband and I stayed downstairs in a lovely apartment...we could be together but still each had our own space. We felt like we had our own piece of the Caribbean and we actually did! It was totally private...we loved the pool with view of ocean and watching the sunrise each morning! The staff was amazing...all we had to do was contact reception and the sent a golf cart to pick us up for dinner or excursions. We have such amazing memories of our time there...I can't say enough!

Very restful and special resort

Andrea C (Stanwood, Washington) on Mar 05, 2024

The Naia Resort and Spa was a relaxing place to stay. It is located right on a beautiful, quiet, white sand beach and has two restaurants (both are excellent), a pool and wonderful cottages with outdoor showers. The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. The staff were exceptional. They were helpful and flexible in changing some of our excursions. They offer a wide variety of excursions and provide shuttle service to each as well as into town and restaurants. We had a lovely visit there. Because the resort is small and intimate, the staff knew who we were and were very friendly.

Honeymoon in Paradise

Jennifer D on Feb 24, 2024

Naia is the best choice in all of Placencia. From the location of the casitas, beach steps away from private rooms, excellent food and superior customer service there is nothing not to love. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay great. Carlos at the desk handled all of our plans and excursions and was friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide Sendy was professional, super friendly and we learned so much about the culture, plants and local life and history from him. Excellence is what you can expect from Naia. Amazing service and accommodations, can’t wait to go back!
