Tourist entry tax and STINAPA nature fee
Visitor Entry Tax: Visitors to Bonaire are required to pay a tourist entry tax of $75 per person, per visit. The funds from the tourist tax are invested to support education, infrastructure, tourism development and sustainability initiatives on the island
STINAPA nature fee : All guests will need to pay locally to enter the marine partk that includes land and sea activities (snorkelling, diving, boat rentals etc.) on the island. . The dive shops, boat rentals and marinas will collect the nonrefundable $40 per person from the guests and it is valid for one year. Alternatively guests can visit https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/ and pay online. For more information please visit stinapa.org/

I highly recommend Van Der Velk La Plaza to everyone. I recommend diving with Spider or Yousef, good wreck dive to explore is the Himmler, take your time and go around it, large tarpon, salt Pier dive is great, Angl city coral reef, many sites reached from shore. But the best thing ever is to do the drift snorkel trip on the Klein Bonaire Island across from the main Bonaire. Take the water taxi across and pay for the driver to drop you off to drift dive along a coral wall that runs parallel to the Klein Bonaire. They then give you a cooler filled with sandwiches from a chef and a special umbrella chair that you sit in to eat your lunch after you are done drift snorkeling. The snorkel trip takes about an hour but it was so fantastic that we kept walking down the length of the island and doing it over and over. It is fantastic and a great Coral wall.

Beautiful location! The resort is under renovation but it did not affect our stay at all and we cannot wait to see it once it is complete. Snorkeling right off the beach is amazing, the food and drinks were diverse and delicious (especially the sushi, the chef is amazing!) and the pool is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. The staff was kind and happy to help with any questions we had or anything we needed. Normally, toward the end of vacation, I am so ready to get home but I did not want to leave.
