Tourist entry tax and STINAPA nature fee
Visitor Entry Tax: Visitors to Bonaire are required to pay a tourist entry tax of $75 per person, per visit. The funds from the tourist tax are invested to support education, infrastructure, tourism development and sustainability initiatives on the island
STINAPA nature fee : All guests will need to pay locally to enter the marine partk that includes land and sea activities (snorkelling, diving, boat rentals etc.) on the island. . The dive shops, boat rentals and marinas will collect the nonrefundable $40 per person from the guests and it is valid for one year. Alternatively guests can visit https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/ and pay online. For more information please visit stinapa.org/

This was our second visit to the hotel. A lot has changed since we visited two years ago. The reception and restaurant have undergone a major renovation which looks really great. The food at the restaurant was varied and delicious. The atmosphere has changed a bit though, less cosy and relaxed. We had a room that has not been renovated yet. The age is beginning to show, as well as cockroaches unfortunately. Hope that the hotel can renovate these rooms, the rooms in other parts of the hotel look great. Even though we were in a busy period (the hotel was fully booked), the staff did their utmost to give us a pleasant stay and we enjoyed the end of year celebrations. We used to enjoy the snorkeling at the reef in front of the hotel. It was quite a shock to see that a large part of the corals on the shallow part have gone in two years time. All in all, a pleasant stay. We hope to come back, but in a less busy period.

3rd time in Bonaire, 1st time at Plaza Untrained staff and terrible management led to most unpleasant experience, facilities 3 star,food, 5 star, service and culture 1 star I invited guests to join us for dinner, which at an all inclusive rate, I agreed to pay and charge to my room. While at dinner with my guests, they came to my table and said to me that I or my guests owed $85 each. Embarrassed and outraged I went to the desk to ask for the manager where I was told "we do not have a manager" ie terrible management. Long lines at bar, birds in the dining areas, miracle to get water to your table They actually ask you if you have anything negative, not to respond on trip advisor never again
