The best resort to visit in the Cancun area!

We had an incredible time at the resort! Our people assigned to our room, Martin and Francisco, were outstanding and went above and beyond with our needs and making our experience unique. The resort is modern and well suited for exploring the area, Cancun and Isla Mujures. Highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a “perfect” getaway

Master suite with butlers!

We had another great time! Atelier added the butler service and we are very thankful to Jose and Alicia. They were both very very helpful!!!! James, the beach and sky bar butler was very attentive. Domingo at the juice bar was very nice. We had the master suite and it was incredible! Can’t wait for our next visit

Great Hotel and Excellent Staff

Long review but well worth a read to get an idea of what to expect at Atelier Playa Mujeres. Our first trip to Mexico, we booked a 12 night stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres. We booked a Roof Top Terrace Suite as I suffer with a skin condition and prefer private outdoor spaces. On arrival, as Inspira guests we had a separate check-in and both the clerk and concierge handled our needs quickly, gave us the hotel rundown and we headed off. The hotel and surroundings are stunning, we couldn't have been happier with the facilities. Arriving at the room it was exactly as described and the outdoor space accessed by a spiral staircase had amazing views of the hotel, surrounding area and the most magnificent sea views of the Isla Mujeres. We settled in that night very happy with our selection. The next morning we received a WhatsApp message from Carlos, one of the butlers assigned in a Day and Evening rotation. The butler team of Carlos and Leyner made our stay a real pleasure, they took care of all our needs. Booking restaurants, any requests for the room, morning updates on activities, food, getting drinks and ice, generally checking in throughout the day....you name it they both smashed it. Amazing! Unfortunately, we did hit a few snags along the way. The first was 4 days of bad weather thanks to Hurricane Agatha. The room suffered some minor leaks/drips from the terrace above. Carlos was on hand quickly with towels to manage it and offered a room swap or to look at other solutions. We decided to remain in our room and ride out the storm. The sun eventually appeared again, and this is when we hit the second snag. It's clear that the hotel is working very hard to enhance and repair many of the rooms. Generally, you could see this going on and most had zero impact on our stay. With the hotel being finished in 2019, I'm sure 2020 and 2021 brought a few challenges to have the finishes/snagging completed. One of those challenges came as repairs took place on the roof terrace next to ours. It was very loud, resulting in a significant impact to the enjoyment of our break. After initially reporting, the Supervising Butler Fernanda came to our rescue. For ME, when issues like this occur, it's not what occurs. It's how a business, any business, looks to recover the situation. What I appreciated most was the honest approach from Fernanda, that she listened to our needs (privacy and relaxation). What happened next blew our minds in recovering the situation! I can safely say I've never had such excellent attention. Fernanda and the team of Carlos and Leyner dealt with it brilliantly by moving us to a Master Suite, another incredible room – the Butler team do you proud Atelier Management! Please continue to support these teams, they will drive your business growth and client appreciation. It's easier to have returning happy guests, than keep finding new ones - invest in client happiness! Two recommendations to hotel management: 1. The time share staff felt intrusive. We quickly learned to stay away from areas where they operated (main reception/Covid testing/Coffee shop and Mercado 19). On our 9th day I was interrogated as to when we arrived, had I had the pitch etc. This was the same chap that caught us our first morning. 2. The Conferences and Events at times interfered with the restaurant availability. For example, the Atelier Suspiro wasn’t available three nights in a row. We ended up quite happy on the Estudio side with the food and service. However, the family nature of the Estudio side was evident. So, challenges faced but handled professionally resulting in customers won over for years to come (we will be back). What do you need to know to help with decision making? The restaurants are great, we loved Maria Dolores and ate there twice during the stay. The Suspiro Seafood for lunch and dinner was excellent and a favourite. We enjoyed the El Cielo (Sky) Bar immensely as an exclusive area for Inspira guests and attended pretty much daily for drinks and lunch. Takeshi was also a favourite for something tasty and a different vibe. With rest and relaxation on the cards we didn’t try the entertainment and many activities available, however those around us clearly loved it! The Limon y Sol bar always had a great vibe. This hotel plays brilliant music throughout, the live music at Fernando’s Bar was excellent. Final confession, I’m terrible with names so apologies for those we may forget to mention - we met so many amazing staff during our stay. The Bar and Waiting team (Olga/Roman) at El Cielo worked incredibly hard and were very friendly. Roman and the team at Maria Dolores were excellent. The team in Suspiro Estudio (Ivan gave us a great giggle and service). And of course, the absolute legends who provided our butler service – Carlos, Leyner and Fernanda. However, the key point is the PEOPLE working at the hotel (and we mean all of the staff that we encountered) are excellent - courteous, hard-working and really made our stay. I can only see this hotel getting better!

Awesome Resort!

We had the best time at Atelier! Everything was fabulous. The food was delicious and the room was spectacular. More on the food later. The staff was all soooo friendly and accommodating. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The pool was great. Be sure to wake up early and claim your seat though! The food and drinks were top notch . I’m a bit sad that we didn’t find the hidden gem of Mercado 19 dinner till the last night! They have amazing tacos and tamales, not to mention the horchata. Our server, Dionicio, was great as well. Los Abrazos, El Suspiro, and Cilento were awesome restaurants. The pool bar was where it was at! We loved the bartenders, Juan and Isaac! They were awesome and made us everything we asked and even made us some special drinks. All in all, it was an amazing experience.

Cocktail lesson night was my the most memorable thing this vacation

Alexis, Rodolfo, Alejandro made a memorable night with a cocktail lesson full of laughs excitement and great drinks! Would love to see more events like this during my stay here! The best drinks are always made with laughs and friends and tonight was no exception.
