Good stay

Arrival - we were Diamond Club and check in was good Room - we had a luxury junior suite with a fantastic sea view. The room exceeded our expectations and was very big Beach/Pool - Beach was beautiful, plenty of shade, sea could get quite rough so listen to the lifeguards, we did see one person get into difficulties and have to be rescued. Diamond Club pool was disappointing as very small and limited beds. We were there a few days and Carlos on drinks was great. However a few days in it did get far too crowded and very rowdy with a lot of “entitled” behaviour so we avoided it during those times. Food - breakfast buffet was great, so much choice. Lunchtime was also good, quite repetitive but as so much choice it wasn’t really an issue. Restaurants we found to be the let down and the food quality needs improvement. Chopstick we had one good meal and one not so good. The same in Vespa. Hunters steakhouse and the Mexican were our worst experiences. Drinks - in the main very good, sparkling wine and wine very drinkable, cocktails pretty good but sometimes inconsistent depending who made them (which can happen at any hotel) You can ask for a particular brand if you see it on the shelf. Service - this is where the hotel excelled. Everyone we met was from friendly polite and helpful, particularly Jasmine in the lobby bar Butlers - we mainly used for dinner reservations and Monse was great always seemed us out and was very helpful. Entertainment - a bit hit and miss - we loved the casino night but it was over too quickly. The country guy singing at the pool was amazing - get him in on the evening slot! Queen tribute weren’t too bad. Level 18 a great space, but wasn’t for us. The entertainment team were friendly and worked hard and didn’t hassle you to join in if you just wanted to relax.
Picturesque getaway with amazing staff

Overall, we had an amazing time here and would definitely return. Starting with check in — we had diamond club and it was smooth, easy and seamless. This was the same for check out. We arrived on a Saturday and met our butler (Daniel and Steff). Our room was not ready so we went to the pool to wait (we packed bathing suits in our carry on). The DC pool & beach and the regular pool & beech were both PACKED! There wasn’t a single available chair and this was around 1130am. We managed to find 2 chairs by the “jetted” pool and stayed there. They had food available at munchies as well as the poolside grill. We ventured up to Level 18 rooftop to find ourselves all alone at a foam party (it was actually kinda cool having the place to ourselves). DC members get drinks included up there and we never had any issues with overcrowding on the rooftop (although they weren’t always open) Sunday was still a little crowded but we got to the DC pool early with plenty of seats available and as the week went on, it got even better. The temperature of the pools were pretty cold (we went the last week of Feb) but the ocean was quite enjoyable. The beach was always clean with very little sargassum. Our wish was that there was at least 1 hot tub on site though, other than the sauna. The room we had was a lagoon view and it was perfect for us. It was clean and staff was always attentive if we needed them. Shower was big and the bed was comfortable. There was a slight foul smell from the faucet and shower water though — brush your teeth with the bottled water in the mini fridge. The resort itself was extremely clean and every staff member was smiling, welcoming and friendly. The views here are absolutely stunning! The food was very good overall. We had an issue at Chopstix, but the staff went out of their way to make it better and couldn’t have been any nicer about it! The Italian restaurant was by far our favorite. The pasta with the chicken parm was a little bland but we didn’t go to Cancun for the pasta! The lasagna was delicious though. The seafood at the sky restaurant was probably our second favorite, followed by hunter’s steakhouses. The breakfast and lunch buffets were really good and there are a ton of options! They have vibe team members there every single day engaging with guests to try and keep them entertained. Nelly & Katherine were the ones we saw the most and they were both fantastic and energetic. They asked us to participate in a mojito class, poolside blackjack, dance parties and more. Room service, even with DC, take 45-60 minutes but we enjoyed it and used it a couple of times. One thing we heard a lot of complaints about were the elevators. While they are flawed, we didn’t experience long wait times like others have. They can definitely improve them, but it wasn’t hateful. One issue you have, is sometimes your room hallways can get a little noisy at night. But we only experienced that when a bachelor party group of frat boys got too drunk. Overall, where we stayed at for 5 nights I think it was more than worth it and would recommend it to anyone. DC was worth it for us, for the ease of dining reservations alone. We also both got a hydrotherapy treatment included, a bottle of champagne in our room, an extra pillow menu and others amenities. Also, don’t sleep on the sports bar! We had some of the best food here. Definitely coming back!
rude staff, the dirty environment, and the awful food, this trip was a nightmare I never want to repeat.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this place. The service was unprofessional, and the overall cleanliness was very poor. Despite being an all-inclusive stay, the food quality was unacceptable. This experience ruined my entire trip, and I definitely do not recommend visiting here.

Fun times in Cancun!

We stayed 4 nights at Royalton Chic. The pool parties were a blast and the activities were fun too. Iran and Alfonso (butlers) took great care of us. Iran booked all of our dinner reservations when we first arrived. He was very communicative and responsive when we had questions. The butlers were great!!
