A true all-inclusive adult only hotel with a great beach

Green G on Apr 11, 2026

Summary: overall a great experience, with highlights being the plethora of foods and drinks, atmosphere, and the location at one of the best sections of the beach. Oh and no kids! Hotel staff are very friendly but need some training with respect to being aware of daily activities and usage of the app. I paid around $250 per night for all-inclusive, 2-queen bedroom with view to the lagoon. Tips for potential guests: - download the Royalton App (select the right hotel), pre-check in, and book up your dinning at the many restaurants because they do fill up and you’re left with the buffet (which is still pretty decent), sports bar (subpar food), and some snacks at their other kitchens. - You need to wake up early to save a chair at the beach or pool, or wait until like after 2pm before they start becoming available again (unless you purchase the diamond/premium pass which gets you into a separate area with more availability) - Make sure you ask several staff about activities/events the morning of, and throughout, as the hotel makes changes without notice and because different staff will give you conflicting information. - The hotel offers an airport shuttle for $75 x person… taxis will charge about $50 (unsure if pax or total). If you have your own car, then you can avoid this. There’s parking at the hotel for no charge. - Room service food is not great, but it’s definitely a nice option for those who need a late meal or are wanting/needing to stay in the room. - The ocean view is quite something! So def worth paying for if hesitant about price. However the lagoon view is also nice, especially since that’s where you’ll see the sunset. For the hotel: Suggestions: - The app needs major improvements. It can be confusing, not very user friendly. Not always accurate (because events change daily and during the course of the day). And needs a better way to inform guests of tables that become available at fully-booked restaurants. Most times people who are a no-show forget or don’t care to cancel. We missed out on all the restaurants that need reservation during our stay. - It’s nearly impossible to find a trash bin in the pool and beach areas. This was annoying, especially since some guests leave behind trash on the beach, which then gets washed out into the ocean. This needs to be made convenient. - The check-in experience was off-putting. The person who welcomed us was friendly but began to ask VERY personal questions, asking my widow mother “where’s the husband?” How many children she has and where they live. It’s a bit too much and borderline disrespectful. At the check-in counter the staff member demanded and insisted we have/show our passports, even though we’re Mexican. Sorry but not everyone who comes to your hotel is flying from another country, some of us drive from within Mexico, so not everyone is going to show up with a passport. This was very odd. - Every time we asked a staff member about where and when an activity was happening we would get different answers. It also doesn’t help that activities change location without notice. - Some of the façade in the rooms and throughout the hotel need a touch-up. Even though most of the hotel looks nice and updated, there’s some damage throughout that make it look a bit uncared for. - Wish the outdoor /pool bars and the pools would stay open a bit longer, but I suppose it helps keep people from overdoing it and provide some peace at night. PROS: - Very friendly staff - Great spacious rooms - The dinning and drink options are great - Your buffet surpassed all expectations - Having a pizza station and a coffee shop with pastries and gelato open all day and into the night is a great touch. - Loved all the scheduled activities and events, it made the other hotels seem very boring - Overall very clean - Loved the number of various pools one can use. The rooftop is awesome. - We very much appreciated the room upgrade we got from lagoon view to ocean view (we were told the hotel was overbooked).

Great resort

Amazing resort with friendly staff! It’s at a great location, a 10 minute walk from the main strip with a beautiful beach (little to no seaweed). Shoutout to Juan Carlos by the beach bar for making the experience extra amazing!

LOUD

Browneye1958 (Ingleside, Illinois) on Apr 10, 2026

The nightly entertainment outside is very sad. The hotel depends on drunks to sing karaoke several nights a week. If you book a lagoon room make sure you bring your noise canceling headphones. The music should stop so guests can sleep. It is an exhausting to listen to canned music. The turtles will be nesting soon and the lights and loud music needs to STOP. The MC’s just scream! It is intolerable. The staff is hard working and the food is fair.
