Melia Cozumel was a beautiful, very relaxed resort with the best beach in the area, the occasional seaweed issued not withstanding. Food is very good and service excellent for both food and beverages. Plenty of interesting areas to relax in the sun or shade and no need to rush out to “claim your spot” for the day. We didn’t see or hear a disgruntled guest all week, even with a couple of days of rain which brought in a good seaweed dump, which was, btw. Cleaned up impressively within 24 hours; completely within 48. Beachfront is open to extended walks past the Westin which is a pleasant 10 minute or 750 meters area. If you take the sidewalk be sure to check out the Lobster ?? House!

Beautiful beach, great food, especially the Fish House, friendly staff and the size of the hotel was perfect….quiet enough to relax and just big enough to meet new people. Especially liked the fact the kids pool area was far enough away from the adult only pool so we could relax and not hear constant noise like at most resorts. Also the terrain was very accessible for one of my companions who has a mobility issue. Love this hotel and will be back next year.
