It was a dark and stormy night

It became the coldest day in Jasper in 2022. We faced many problems for the first half of our stay. The staff were extrememly helpful and cheery and did whatever they could to make our stay better. I spoke with the front desk when we checked out and was pleased with her efforts. I contacted someone in Edmonton upon our return and spoke with a member of the management team. After some discussion he agreed to a further refund. The check was to take 3 to 5 weeks to be process because of the method of payment on our part. The money arrived and a little more than expected! Thank you for listening. I really would like to see proper fireplaces put in those cabins. Ones which throw off heat and the excess heat could be transferred somewhere else where it would do good. Maybe a mini wood shed in the back of each cabin. Wood could dry there with the help of the excess heat. We are pleased with this outcome. See you again in the future. Regards CP MC
Great hotel but food needs work

Had booked a junior suite with lakeview, fireplace, and sitting area. When arrived they said that they had upgraded me to a larger suite. I have stayed in these "larger suites" before and I do not consider them an upgrade. They are far away from the main lodge and the furnishings are dated. I complained about this and they moved me to another cabin but not the lakeview ones that I had originally booked. The only place that you can eat there is the great hall. Orso is only opened Thur- Sat evenings. The Japanese restaurant is so small that it is impossible to get in. They use to have a breakfast buffet but no longer being done. Moose's Nook is closed, The chalet was only open during the holidays. For such a high end hotel they need to have more places to dine.
