The hotel was good. My room had a wonderful view of the beach. I stayed at this same hotel last year and enjoy the proximity to the beach and downtown. The weather was a little cool for January. The engineer named Terrance was very helpful in making sure my room was perfect. Great customer service.
Staff member Terrance was the best!!

This is getting the highest review because of the help we received from Terrance at 11pm tonight. He was very respectful & kind. Thank you so much for the space heater & fan noise. Surprisingly us Wisconsin people are cold. Big thank you though bcuz I will be able to sleep tonight!

Had a 1 night stay at this lovely hotel coming out of Miami on my way to Savanah. The hotel is in prestine condition high I could not fault at all. Open your curtain and the first thing you see is the beach. It’s on the main road in FL. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The room was big enough to accommodate a family of 4 with 5 bags. Will definitely stay here if I am in the area,
More Aggravation Then A Vacation.

I did my research and chose the Sonesta based on the many good reviews and my son who stays there as a captain with United while in Ft. Lauderdale. Checked in on New Year’s Day went beautifully with a sweetheart friendly front desk agent. Our room was very nice, clean and the view of the ocean was gorgeous. The room was freezing! We attempted to warm up the room but after a few hours the temperature only dropped to 63 degrees. Thursday morning January 2 I went to the front desk and spoke to the front desk agent Ron. I explained to him the problem with the room. He never made eye contact with me. He was completely unfriendly and frankly gave more some excuse why this is the way it is and it cannot be fixed. He didn’t offer to change our room so I asked for extra blankets. Someone like him does not belong in the hospitality business. He made me feel so uncomfortable. In the evening we had a maintenance guy come to the room to check the thermostat. He told us the thermostat was not working. It wasn’t communicating with the computer. He suggested turning it off, which we did. It was about 10:30 pm and the friendly, kind front desk agent offered to change our room. We were checking out the next morning so we declined. I must mention also that we received no housekeeping that day. No one ever told us that we needed to request it. For over $400 dollars a night, $55 a night parking, a resort fee, taxes and we don’t get housekeeping? Ridiculous. I had to go back to the front desk to request clean towels. In the morning as compensation we were given a 4 pm check out which was appreciated. I don’t think I will ever come back. Mostly because of all the problems and the way Ron treated us. It just was more aggravation than a vacation.

I would genuinely love to give this hotel a five star rating. On many levels. It was a lovely stay until they double booked my room and complete strangers walked in while I was sitting in bed. I could not reach anyone at the front desk so I had to get dressed and go downstairs on my own And spoke to a woman at the front desk who was rather non-plussed about my experience. I asked them how a thing could happen and they were unable to answer. Additionally, rather than offering me any type of compensation or some kind of a plan, they wanted to know what I expected as compensation. Frankly, considering how such a simple mistake could’ve resulted in something far worse if I was in a more vulnerable position, and the folks that entered my room could have been dangerous. I would’ve hoped too that after the people who walked into my room went down to the front desk, that the front desk might have tried to reach out to me to make sure I was OK. That too was really disappointing. Unfortunately, this incident really put a damper on my stay and has me uneasy and having to lock my door at all times and I just don’t feel like that’s the way vacation should feel.
