DON'T BOOK HERE!! RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. IF I could give 0 starssss to this property.... uff I would give this hotel LESS than 0 stars.... hospitality? Gone... customer service... GONE.... Edlet at the front desk is a terrible FD agent doesn't care about his job. Disrespected us the whole time we stayed here. Basically harrasment. Front desk agents are absolutely useless and definitely unknowledgable. Laughing & snickering every time we pass by with my babies.. Edlet absolutely made our stay horrific. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. I HOPE THE GM READS THIS because being treated this way when we're just trying to not only rude but I'm pretty sure corporate won't like the complaint I already made to them. LITERALLY THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!! Rooms 0 Service 0 Location 0 UNSAFE!!! RUN!!!I've never felt unsafe in a hotel as I did with this hotel. LP officers are useless and THREATEN their guests. Instead of helping you resolve the problem they just threaten you in front of your kids because this hotel has no regard for their guests. Food & drinks: NASTY. STEELPAN has the worst food. So bland!!! Noteworthy details: This has been one of my worst hotel experiences. Fd agents laughing at you while you pass by... being racially profiled and disrespected in every way possible. If you want to enjoy your vacation. Honestly just book somewhere else. Being harassed by Edlet at the front made our stay TERRIBLE.

My son and I recently enjoyed a much-needed getaway at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach for two weeks. It was our first time at this property, and the staff truly made the trip special. Arrival and front-desk Rosa at check-in greeted us with warmth and professionalism. She listened to my needs for a quiet space and downtime and helped with a room arrangement request we had made online. Rosa was incredibly accommodating, kind, and empathetic. Her personal touch elevated our experience and set a positive tone for the stay. The front desk crew consistently had smiles and kept us feeling welcomed throughout our visit: Junicha, Evelyn, Pita, Kian, Edlet, and Shenoya. Thank you all for your attentiveness and kindness. Valet service Johnny, Jon, Michael, and Solon in valet were helpful, approachable, and offered great directions around the area. Their calm, cheerful demeanor added to our sense of ease. Breakfast bliss Sophie, the morning hostess at Steel Pan, brightened our mornings with a warm welcome and friendly greeting. It was wonderful starting each day with her smile. ?? Wishing you all the best! Omelet crew was great too!! Beach buddy Ruben, our beach chair escort, consistently secured our spot with patience and a calm presence. We appreciated his reliable, composed service in a busy environment. Management and dining I had a brief encounter with a manager during breakfast who took the time to engage with guests in a genuine way. His professionalism stood out, even if I’m not sure of his name. Sorry!! Location and value Location-wise, Sonesta is fantastic—directly across from the beach with convenient access to nearby dining and small shops for incidentals. The location’s convenience was a major plus for our trip. Rooms and overall stay Our room and bathroom were on the smaller side, but we enjoyed a great view and found the furnishings pretty. The bed was comfortable, though one guest chair showed staining and likely needs replacement. The bathroom could use a refresh to feel more modern. Cleanliness and upkeep were the primary downsides. In both rooms we stayed in, some furniture and most foyer pieces showed staining and wear. The second room appeared notably cleaner, suggesting a broader maintenance and refresh schedule could benefit the property. I did notice some variance in housekeeping; a few team members were excellent, especially Orlie, and deserve extra recognition. A bit more training could help ensure consistently high standards across all rooms. The staff is the standout feature of Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our stay memorable. If you’re prioritizing location and a friendly team, this hotel is a solid choice.

Great Location! We enjoyed a jr suite with an incredible corner view! We came after our cruise at 9am and they gave us a room before 10am! Wow?? Super staff! They treated us like family.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Everyone was friendly in the restaurant and gave great service. One person In particular was extremely helpful at the front desk, Kian. If we had a question or needed help he went out of his way to help. Also the men working in the valet area were friendly and courteous.Look forward to going back.
