Wonderful, relaxing Cayman destination

This is a wonderful destination for a relaxing Cayman getaway. We enjoyed the daily activities, particularly the boxing class that was given by Charles. He's incredible and customized our workout to our skillsets. Even if you have never boxed, give it a try! Also recommend the complimentary snorkeling adventure, dining at the Veranda and delving into a great book by the pool.

Another wonderful stay at the Marriott GC - Summer House

Just about to finish up our 5 night stay at The Marriott Resort Grand Cayman - Summer House. Wonderful time at a clean, friendly and perfect location on the island. As some may know, the Marriott lost the vast majority of their beach due to hurricane years back. I am told that the government along with the Marriott are co-funding a beach re-nourishment project sometime in early June that will last into September. This project will bring back a significant amount of beachfront to the Marriott and make this location that much more enjoyable. Most importantly I want to call out our primary server at the pool/beach, Sid. Sid is one of the most customer first employees that my wife and family have ever had the opportunity to experience. We had stayed here at the Marriott a year or so ago and when we arrived at the pool area on our first day, Sid spotted us and came right over to say hello and welcome us back. He then continued to take amazing care of us throughout our stay, anticipating our needs without us even having to ask. I suppose the biggest compliment I could give Sid is that he is simply a genuine human being and someone I would enjoy hanging out with and calling him a friend of the family. Sid clearly sets the bar high for others to aspire to be like! Hope you Enjoy the Marriott !
Expensive and Boring!!!!!

This was not a great experience for me! It’s a money pit for tourist. The hotel is not secure! Anyone can walk in and go to the floors and gym. There is no key entrance/exit for the elevator. They do not take Discover and it’s not posted on their website. It’s very hard to get a taxi so get your taxi drivers card from the airport transportation. The guys are the front desk are amazing and accommodating, the women not so much. This place is for couples only. There is nothing to do outside of relaxing and water stuff at the hotel. I came home a day early for this reason. The concierge did not want to be there. She gave no suggestions on things to do.

Although my stay at Grand Cayman Marriott Resort took place during the first week of August 2025, I was unfortunately unable to successfully post my review on TripAdvisor at that time. I am sincerely hoping this review is finally captured because the exceptional service I experienced absolutely deserves recognition. Please accept my apologies for the delayed review, but I could not allow such outstanding hospitality to go unacknowledged. From the moment I arrived until my departure, the staff consistently demonstrated warmth, professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care that made my stay truly memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Belle, Nancy, and Kayan for their exceptional service during my dining experiences. Their kindness, attentiveness, and joyful spirit made every meal special. Special appreciation also goes to Nina, the hostess, whose welcoming presence and thoughtful hospitality stood out throughout my stay. What touched me most was the beautiful surprise the hostess and servers arranged in anticipation of my birthday, which was to take place the following week. They presented me with a slice of cake and sang a birthday song for me — an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made me feel genuinely celebrated and appreciated while away from home. It is a memory I will never forget. I also want to recognize Kenneth, Jayden, Amanda, and Stephanie at the front desk for their professionalism, efficiency, and gracious assistance throughout my stay. Runako, the Food and Beverage Manager, clearly leads with excellence, as the spirit of hospitality and teamwork was evident across the dining staff and overall guest experience. Finally, special thanks to Nealy for outstanding assistance with baggage services and courtesy transportation. His friendliness and professionalism added greatly to the comfort of my visit. This was not simply a hotel stay; it was a true expression of hospitality at its finest. I highly recommend the Grand Cayman Marriott to anyone visiting the Cayman Islands and look forward to returning in the future.
