Cayman Islands on a budget!!

We have 5 Caribbean islands left and decided to knock one off with a six day stay at the Hampton. We used air miles to get here and Hilton points for our stay. Hilton has a program that if you book 4 nights with points they let you stay 5 nights. AND they don’t charge the resort fee when you use points. So we spent a couple hundred on airfare and zero for hotel. We knew food was expensive but it is really expensive and a 16-18% gratuity is added everywhere. Now for the Hampton. It is a great place to hub out of. The pool is a nice size and the beach is small but functional. Most of the time you will be the only one there. I think we had the second best room in the hotel. The best was right above us. We had a good view of the Caribbean even though there’s a property in front of us. ALL of the staff were awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The on sight restaurant, Mrs. Pipers is very good. The Hampton is one of the few hotels that offer a free shuttle to take you to area businesses. There is also a shuttle route to take you to the Turtle Center. We used the shuttle to get some groceries and to visit the public beach by Bonnie Moon. It’s a sister property restaurant right on a beautiful public beach. We only went once but there were guests that went every day. The Hampton made our first visit to the Cayman Islands very enjoyable.

Gladys was great. She gave wonderful day trip ideas for us and was such a great help. She was so warm and welcoming each day. The resort was right on 7 mile each. Easy to walk to all the locations. There was a rental car location across the street so you could easily go
