There are a lot of pros to this hotel - the location across from the beach, nice rooms, great pool bar for evening relaxation, Kai coffee in the lobby, and service in the Longboard club. BUT the cons made question whether we would stay at this hotel again.
For starters, we kept getting conflicting information between then phone operators and front desk and never felt we got clear instructions even after our probing questions. Everything we needed required talking to the front desk which oftentimes had long waits - 4 stations for hundreds of rooms is simply not enough. And 4 elevators is not enough either. When busy, it stopped on average 3-6 times before it got to my upper floor.
Lastly, check your folio before checking out. We had $1,500 in extra charges on our bill. The hotel credited the amounts immediately, and had no logical response when asked how the extra charges were added. I haven't received an email of the final receipt. Overall, there was something very off about the customer service given to us which the hotel managers need to fix and perfect. At the price we paid for our stay, we expected a much more seamless experience.
This was a mistake

For a whopping $400 a night, not including the ridiculous resort fees, we stayed in the kind of room one would expect to see in a roadside motel. The bathroom did not have a fan so there was mildew on the ceiling and obvious areas of water damage that had been painted over. The paint was chipped all over the wall near the light switch and door, and the bidet was stained and dirty. This lack of attention to detail continues into the main room which was very small. The air vents, sprinklers, smoke detector, and headboards were covered in layers of dust. The air vents also had rust. The media console/dresser/mini fridge storage had water damage stains. Aside from the beautiful view, the balcony was small and unimpressive with a view directly beneath us of a disgusting, decrepit roof. The walls are thin and we could hear the traffic and our neighbors all throughout the night. Staying here was a huge mistake, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The only star I’m giving is for the friendly staff.
