Great cultural program
Daniel B (Phoenix, Arizona) on Jul 14, 2024
I really enjoyed my stay at OUTRIGGER Ka?anapali Beach Resort. Particularly, I enjoyed the cultural programs and classes that were offered. I learned about flora brought by the Polynesians which can be found in the resort's garden, ukelele, Hawaiian language and stories. My kids also enjoyed the classes and completing the activity book. Shout out to Anela and Ko'i who were great teachers. The experience was as educational as it was fun. Lastly, our room was very clean and the resort is well-kept.
Good family vacation spot!

Overall, an affordable location to stay at near the Whaler’s village in Maui. The beach access is easy and the resort has some good features like swimming pool, bar and restaurant, laundry room, shops, and deli. A coupe of things to consider - no free continental breakfast, and no conditioner (only a conditioning shampoo), which doesn’t work well on hair in a humid place like Maui.
Relaxing!

Athena, is my coffee savior! She knew what I wanted and got it ready as soon as I got there! Very family friendly. If you don’t want to be with children you can go to the adult only pool with swim up bar! Meet people from all over! If you need anything ask for Ravi! He’ll know how to help. The spa is incredible! I definitely recommend the milk bath! The Ivi had fantastic food and even better dessert!
“Recently renovated” resort not recently renovated and not really a resort.
George A (Maroubra) on May 31, 2024
We were booked into a supposedly ‘recently renovated’ room which looks like it’s 30 years old. It is definitely not recently renovated. This place is supposed to be a resort but does not really offer resort services. No room service. No minibar. No poolside drink or food service. No restaurant to eat at night. There is a Maui brewing company on site but they do not serve guests outside their premises. Whilst the towels are changed daily the beds are not made daily. It is more like partially serviced apartments. However this place charges $40 US per night in addition to the room fee as a “resort fee”. They also charge their guests who have already paid these fees a further $20 US per night for parking. Whilst it is fair to charge appropriately this is really fleecing the guests. This is topped off by the “stewards” who will gladly take another $60US per day for an umbrella and chairs.
Comfortable, Beach front, Convenient location

The property is quaint, comfortable, beach front and has places to eat onsite. They even have hammocks in shady spots all over. The beach is right there and walking to shops and eateries only five minutes away. Hospitable staff and cozy feel.
