One Time

Came to Vegas for a soccer game, picked The D because we had never stayed here and it was close to where the game would be. Parking on site is easy to find and pretty straight forward, no tall vehicles though, so be aware of that ahead of time. Check in went pretty smooth, little bit of a line checking in, but not uncommon in Vegas. We were given a room on the 19th floor and on the West side of the hotel. Immediately upon entering the room we noticed it was hot and the A/C was like the Little Engine that could in trying to cool the room. We figured what the heck it is only for one night, we will tough it out and not spend much time in the room other than to sleep. Upon coming back to the room that night, we were asked to show our ID to enter the hotel, which was different, but I think I understand. In the room it was still hot and a little stuffy. I turned the A/C down a bit and set it to auto. The A/C kicked on with a vengeance, but was making a clunking sound. We also learned that there is regularly loud music blasting from Freemont St below from 6pm until like 2am, so something else to be aware of. Needless to say between the A/C units awful noise and the music 19 floors below us on the street, we did not sleep very well lol. It is Vegas after all! Lol Basic hotel if you are there to party, reasonably priced and if you want a little less noise maybe try getting a room on a floor higher than 19 and on the East side of the building not the West. Served its purpose, but I will probably try somewhere else next time.

The hotel is pretty basic and VERY adult oriented

socaltripper (California) on Jun 21, 2022

The D hotel is a step down from a Fremont Street hotel/casino such as the Golden Nugget, but it gets the job done with a basic no frills room if you are an ADULT (not a tourist family) and just need a place to crash for the night. The casino itself used to be a bit more lively with dancers and overall energy but I still like to go there. I love the long bar, tall beers on draft and I generally have better luck playing the slot machines there than other nearby properties.

This hotel needs to improve on good housekeeping staff.

gamma31512 (Chatham, Canada) on Jun 18, 2022

My dad and I recently stayed at The D during his poker tournament and it will be the last time. We arrived early and we understand that rooms are not always available at that time but decided to provide our information for when our room was ready and they told us they would text us when it was ready. 9 hrs later we observed other people checking in and being handed their room keys, I was not impressed with this. I waited in line again, only to find out that our room had been ready without any notification. We were given an apology and offered a fridge at no charge since my dad had health issues and was informed it would be delivered shortly. Over 24 hrs later, 2 calls to housekeeping and talking to the housekeeping staff right outside my door and still no fridge, it took going down to the front desk again to request this and finally something was done about it. We also requested our room to be freshened up 2 separate times and even after several hours, our room was never touched. With the staff that this hotel employees there's no excuse why guests have to wait that long for simple requests. We have stayed at 3 different hotels on Fremont Street, and this one we will pass on here after.

I Love The D

Gary T (San Diego, California) on Jun 15, 2022

The D Hotel & Casino is one of the best 3 star Hotels I have ever stayed at & here is why. I have been to 13 countries and stayed in many hotels, this is easily a 4 star hotel bc of how well kept it is combined with the array of amenities including a sweet pool. You can't go wrong staying at The D when you go to Vegas. Check out all my pictures of all the fun you can have staying at The D in Las Vegas. I will start from the beginning: I was in town to play in event #5 & #11 in the WSOP which is played on the strip. When I am not playing poker I love to play craps! The best craps tables are surrounded by awesome parties & The D throws an awesome party every day! The night life around The D hotel is extremely entertaining and never ending. We walked out of the hotel one night and an ACDC cover band was lighting up the stage just 5 feet away. The D even has a little VIP area on the side of the stage where you can watch the concert VIP style. They also have some super famous bands play so check the schedule. 1. Checking In is super easy & can be done online. If you do want to go to the desk the line is always short because there are always a few people behind the desk and a manager in the back in case it gets really busy. (Ms. Meghan was the best desk manager I had the whole trip. Thank you Meghan!) 2. The Rooms are friggin awesome and very big. It had a fridge for beers & all my delicious leftovers from Mastros. It had a comfy couch that pulled out into a bed! It had a huge bathroom & closet. It had a huge dresser. This was just a regular king size bed room with a gorgeous view of the mountains.(check out the pic!) I cannot imagine what a suite would look like?!?! It was so serene to be so high and be on the other side of the strip so I could see all the beautiful stars and dream about what I would do if I won a jackpot or the WSOP. Everything was super clean and the AC unit was surprisingly quiet & kept the room at a perfect 65 degrees. 3. The casino is one of my favorites because of the layout. All the good tables and bars are right next to the Fremont Entrance. You don't have to walk 3 miles around the casino just to find a good table like you do at the huge casinos on the strip. Those casinos are super fun to go and tourist around but everything is so spread out & you can waste a lot of time wandering around aimlessly. The D is the perfect size casino and has everything you need if you are a gambler. And if it's too busy then you can walk a few hundred yards to Circa which is owned by the same people as The D. So you can use the same rewards card. Their rewards program is awesome! If you are a serious gambler then I suggest showing up and personally meeting one of the hosts. They will take care of you as long as you are a true gambler. (I played 12 hours of poker a day then go shower and hit the craps tables!) Huge shout out to my Host! This trip would not have been the same without you and your supporting Hosts & staff. We are already planning our next trip and everyone wants to stay at The D!??

Have stayed here several times. Front desk friendly and helpful. Room was clean . Very good price. Will definitely be back . Also , highly recommend Andiamo Steak House located in hotel . Filet mignon was delicious. As was the Ceasar salad.
