Dirty, old, and moldy

rossanao93 (Long Beach, California) on Jul 28, 2022

This is the second time we stay here and although the first time we stayed we were very disappointed, we decided to give it one more chance. This place has so much potential. The grounds could be beautiful but are very run down and just dirty . The rooms are very outdated, however the loud AC works, which is a plus. There’s also a great ceiling fan that really helps keep the room cool. The flat tv is a decent size. The bathroom shower has mold, but it blends in with the style of stone so it’s hard to tell. The service in the front desk is hit or miss. We asked for extra pillows and it wasn’t until the 4th time we called over two days that we were given the pillows. We showed up back to our room after an all day outing and they had forgotten to leave clean towels in our room. Luckily, this time they were more efficient at the front desk and sent the security guy to drop them off because they could not get any of the service employees to take them to our room. The buildings really need a coat of paint and deep cleaning. Stepping out of our room all we saw was trash and leaves. (Last time we stayed there were dead cockroaches on the halls and one in our room). The balcony was dirty, but at least had a beautiful view of the bay. The pool is great for kids and the swim up bar is also very nice. The bartender there is pretty fast and the drinks are good.(Probably best part of hotel other than location) However, the jacuzzi was not working. The service is very slow, (sometimes no service at all) but the people are extremely nice when they can help you. Overall, I would not recommend to stay here even if you don’t have pretty high standards. We have stayed at Villa Del Palmar and the stay was excellent. The homes for rent at Loreto Bay are another option that is better. The Hotel Misión in downtown would be another great choice. I really wanted to like this place, but it’s just straight out bad. When we checked out we were asked to leave our review on Trip Advisor… I don’t think the management realizes how bad this hotel is. The pictures shown on Trip Advisor are very misleading. It also says there is a gym, but I could never find it. We will not be coming back….

Poor service

48martyh on Jul 05, 2022

We stayed here for a week in June and we had the best room in the entire resort, our view was amazing, no hot water however. We were however extremely disappointed in the service. For example ice, we would go to the bar and ask for some ice and they literally said we don’t have any go to the restaurant. The restaurant literally said no go to the bar and both places had an unfriendly attitude especially the lady in the restaurant. When we first checked in we went down to the pool for drinks and when time to get out asked about towels and three guys standing there doing nothing said you have to get them at the front desk, a considerable distance. Another day we used the kayaks for which the give you an hour only. We went ten minutes over and they charged us, it’s off season and nobody’s trying to use them. We inquired with the kayak guy about tours but he was to busy texting or whatever. The food wasn’t good either. So basically the resort is a great location but if your into service while on vacation look elsewhere, we aren’t high maintenance and we were very disappointed. We won’t be going there again.
