Steal at our room

Cleaning staff stealed two pairs of birkenstock sandals. Only few staff were kind and polite. Not México standards. Breakfast was ok. Elevators were lack of maintenance. I will say is 2.5 star hotel.
Stay elsewhere in Loreto

This resort is sadly very neglected. It has so much potential - good location and the rooms all mostly face the sea. However, the grounds are not tended well - we observed trash strewn in multiple areas of the grounds - the pool had debris floating in it most of the time we were there - the beach area in front of the resort was littered with trash. The landscaping needs tending. The beach and pool chairs need to be replaced. The room we stayed in (deluxe king with ocean view) was very tired but clean, at least. The toilet leaked in back. The light in the magnifying magnifying mirror was not working. The slider for the patio was broken and barely functioned. The bed, however, was comfortable. We booked a room rate where an hour of kayaking was included for free, but they initially tried to charge us for it. We insisted it was included and they finally acknowledged that. The second day, although the office for kayaks was supposed to open at 9 am, without warning or explanation, the kayak person didn’t show up until after 11:30. The staff members are mostly lovely and try hard but there are not enough of them to keep up with the maintenance and service needs of the property. Food and drink service is often slow, not because the staff doesn’t care, but because there are so few of them. I’ve read that the owner is Carlos Slim. He appears to be terrible at running hotels. Hopefully this tired resort will be acquired by someone who takes pride in hotel management. We won’t stay here again unless that happens. There are multiple lovely places to stay in Loreto. This is currently not one of them.
