This resort is way overpriced for what you pay to visit, or be owners. My extended family have been owners for a couple decades, and in recent years their prices have skyrocketed to the point of it not being reasonable to even stay here. The resort is beautiful. The majority of the staff is wonderful. They are mostly eager to help and tend to your needs; however, the prices have gotten so insanely high, that it is no longer enjoyable. During “Happy Hour”, to have 6 drinks, it will cost you $50. If you want to go to one of the on-site rest, you can expect to pay a premium. If you venture into the steakhouse, expect to pay around $250 for a dinner for two. The penthouse suite we stayed in during this stay had to have the microwave replaced, as it started sparking. We also had to have maintenance to the suite due to three sinks not draining properly. Several lights do not function properly, and the master bathroom door won’t even stay closed. They want to charge over $100k to buy into the larger units, and charge a maintenance fee of $2,500 per year, just so you can stay here for 1 week a year. And on top of that, you’re expected to pay these outrageous prices for food and drink? Save your money, unless you’re just renting from someone who is already an owner. To get sucked into their sales pitch. It is a money trap. Find an existing owner and rent their week from them. You will be glad you didn’t buy into it yourself.

I stayed for two weeks at Hacienda Del Mar. The resort has been a favorite place to stay for many years. Service is great. I enjoyed the restaurants onsite which includes Pitahayas, De Cortez, Tomatoes, Tortugas and Sirenas. In particular, Francisco who manages Tortugas made our visits memorable with incredible hospitality and great food. I recommend this beachfront resort to anyone looking to get away from it all and enjoy leisure time at a beautiful beachfront resort with great restaurants . Cheers!

Ask for Francisco, a manager at the resort. He took care of me and my three friends with restaurant reservations. He helped us with menu and wine choices. Always welcomed us with a warm smile. We loved it!

The best and friendliest people. Always there to help. The most noticeable is Benjamin, Ruffu. And the supervisor francisco Ruffini was very attentive as was Benjamin. Angel was right there with umbrella and towels when needed
