My husband and I visited the property for the first time this week. Now I must be honest, the food was a 3.5/5 and the hotel is a little dated but clean. That aside, let’s talk about the stellar customer service we received from Tishanna at check-in/check out, from her warm and friendly demeanor to her willingness to accommodate our requests. She even walked us to our room and gave us useful info about the hotels offerings. Thanks again Tishanna, you elevated our experience from good to great. We will certainly visit again. Oh! Michael at the restaurant Samurai was great as well, very funny and entertaining.

I checked in for a few days and I really enjoyed my experience. My concierge jovayne took good care of us and made the stay memorable. I would definitely come again.!!!! I would love to become a member here but maybe next time and I’ll think about it. I loved it!!

I admit we weren't terribly excited to go to Jamaica since we already been there, but due to circumstances, we "ended up here". WOW! This was one of the BEST vacations we ever had!
While the resort is on the older side, it's being very well kept up and we found it to be very clean. There could have been more outlets in the bedroom and bathroom. I always bring an extension cord and outlet extenders and we needed them desperately for our electronics. The Wi-Fi was fast when we needed it.
We'd requested a certain room type which wasn't what the receptionist said we were getting upon check in. However, she quickly changed our room before we even left the front desk. We were them offered a rum punch and introduced to our concierge. She got us reservations at the Japanese restaurant (which is the only one currently requiring them.) My advice for ANY of the specialty restaurants is to go as soon as they open to avoid having to wait for a table. The days and times they are open are on the Iberostar app, which was very helpful.
The buffet was huge and there was always a great variety of food. I think you'd have to work to go hungry. Oddly enough, there isn't salt on the table, but the servers were always happy to provide it when asked.
We did 2 tours with Dressel Divers. The people were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Luminous Lagoon. They have a staff photographer and you have the option to buy a set of photos at $25/pp. They aren't pushy about buying them though. We also did the snorkeling tour but the boat moored far enough off the reef that I wasn't able to swim out to it in the surge. I'm accustomed to the boat mooring ON the reef (with an already set moor so as not to damage the reef). Since I'd injured my foot, making finning painful, I wouldn't have booked the trip had I known about the swim. And, while we loved the music on the boats, it could have been turned down a bit to make it easier to talk. There were always ample refreshments ~ alcoholic and non ~ and the crew was very cheerful and helpful.
There seemed to be plenty of lounges available on the beach and were within close walking distance to the beach bar and lunch. The artificial reef has some small sponges, a few patches of brain coral and some very small corals forming. But the fish were plentiful, if on the juvenile side in most cases. Several parrotfish, 4 eyed butterflies, tangs and other reef fish. I could walk out to within 20 ft of the reef (which is basically boulders). I advice wearing water socks as there are a few small rocks in the water.
Our mini fridge was stocked every morning with 2 kinds of beer and several choices of soda. There is NO bottled water at the resort, but several water bottle filling stations on each floor and each room has 2 glass refillable water containers. I was glad we each brought a thermo just to have water handy on the beach or when doing excursions.
Our room was the last one cleaned every day but it was always done to perfection. Plenty of big bath towels and sufficient wash clothes and hand towels. No plastics, so there were dispensers of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion in the bathroom. With my injured foot, I appreciated the hand holds in the shower.
The most amazing thing was that EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful that we had to agree that this was one of the BEST trips we've ever been on. I'd give it a 10/10.

1. Despite having No Smoking signs near the pool - tons of guests smoked there. I reached out to the employee a couple of times, however, they do nothing.
2. A lot of mosquitoes in a room. So bring your repellant! Got terrible bites on the first day.
3. You cannot adjust air conditioner temperature in a room.
4. Pool area cleaning starts at 7 am. There were 4 cleaning members to clean a small area. They barely moved, took 20 min break though, and finished at 9am. All this time guests should wait for the staff to finish cleaning and put pool chairs back. It was a horrible experience.
5. Restaurants are not open every day. There is no information at all and we did not know when each of them open.
6. The service in Italian restaurant was horrible.
