I don’t normally write reviews especially negative ones but you must consider whether this is the right place for you. We had our wedding here and I must say the team were lovely but the number of mistakes! Wrong version of the music (I saw them write down the correct one) when walking down the aisle. The food- didn’t bring out the 1 thing we asked for (again saw them write it down) and we had to demand it. The cake was actually a joke- nothing like the picture. I have added an expectation vs reality (bear in mind it is supposed to be a 1 tier version of the catalogue image). The photographer really made the day- he was fantastic (very expensive but worth it). Now for the actual stay: When we arrived we did not get a VIP welcome. We were pretty much ignored- I’m pretty sure they assumed we were with another couple who just happened to arrive at the same time and gave them the attention instead. If you have an allergy- good luck! No signs for half the stuff. They ask if you have any allergy and do nothing more. My step dad who is allergic to nuts asked if something had nuts in and they didn’t know. Luckily or I guess unluckily he is so allergic he can tell by putting it near his lips. My sister in law discovered on the 2nd to last day she had been eating butter all week (as a vegan). We stopped going to the diamond club breakfast because one day it took well over an hour to see any food. The stuff at the buffet and restaurants especially did not want to be there. The jerk hut and burger van- I wouldn’t bother. They start half an hour late, go round the back and eat the food first and then serve it so you can be waiting for over an hour. They also shut these at the slightest sign of rain even if there is food which will have to go to waste. The rooms- one of the rooms the aircon was stuck on freezing and the solution was to turn it off entirely. Another room had a leak coming through above the bath. Bath plugs half were missing- you have to ask. Our tap was leaking water all over the floor and the solution was turn the water off entirely. I had to ask again for it to be fixed. We had money stolen from 2 rooms- $100 from one and $30 from another. If you ask to move rooms you might loose a whole day. My mother in law lost a whole day because they would not communicate properly and only when I asked to speak the manager it got sorted. I have to say Lorna the manager is clearly trying her best. I had a meeting with her and she gave us some free things including a cabana. She also said if you see anyone not providing a good service she will send them for retraining. We didn’t give names because honestly it is half the staff. She also organised us a meal on the pier although the man turned up 10 mins late and it was organised on the wrong pier… The leaving bit was very stressful: poor communication which meant that our 11am pick up ended up being 11:15 and the coach was due at 11:20. Another couple ended up waiting for their pick up for 40mins. Not a great way to end a holiday. The good bits: food was fantastic (as long as you don’t have an allergy). The rooms that were good, were beautiful. The location is fantastic with the beach. The gym instructors were very enthusiastic and my mother in law loved it. The butlers do a fantastic job (shout out to Franz who really went above and beyond and made the trip honestly). The free kayaks were a real favourite. Despite all the negatives we did still manage to have a lovely time.

My family of three enjoyed this resort so much! It was worth the money for us! The resort wasn't overcrowded anywhere except the buffet during peak hours. Family friendly resort, and secure. FIVE STARS FOR STAFF - The hotel entertainment team was great, and the staff was always amazing. The 1 star lack is the food - its just average, and getting a reservation to the restaurants is hard.
