Our first time to Jamaica and we weren’t disappointed - we were a bit apprehensive after reading some negative reviews but booked on personal recommendation from a friend who had visited in May 2024. We were diamond club and Kenneth and Samantha were our butlers and were very efficient and attentive. We had a private transfer from the airport so arrived before the Tui coach and check in was smooth and efficient. Our room (1011) was lovely. Food was excellent for all meals. Breakfast in Grazie was perfect and Zen Teppanyaki was a great evening. Beds round the DC pool were always taken but there were always beds on the beach. Beach and sea were beautiful and there wasn’t much seaweed despite a couple of stormy days. Beach bar was great and our two beach servers were so lovely - shammi and shanrika ( probably spelt wrong) - nothing was too much trouble for those two. The DC lounge also had a lovely waitress Shan. Every member of staff we encountered were smiley, efficient and a credit to the hotel.
Staff were amazing but not 5*, even with Diamond Club.

There was an employee strike at the beginning of our stay for 2 days, which will have impacted my overall opinion on this resort however I have tried to base this review on things outside of that. 99% the staff were friendly and helpful, could not fault them. Only encountered one member of staff in the sports bar who seemed annoyed we were there! The beach and location - this really was amazing and will be hard to beat at other resorts. The size and layout of the resort was great, nothing was too far but wasn’t too crowded. Food and drinks were mostly good. We found the main buffet better than the restaurants - other than the Teppanyaki we were disappointed by the food in the restaurants. The jerk chicken by the main pool was great though. Overall the resort feels like it really needs refurbishing, everywhere is in some sort of state of disrepair and looks like it needs a deep clean. Hot water in the shower was intermittent and there were regular power cuts. at one time I this hotel would have been an amazing luxury hotel, however sadly is does not compare to other 5* Caribbean resorts.
