Just ok, not worth the price paid
Jessica C on Jul 03, 2022
My group of 4 (2 Adults and 2 teens) had a fine time at Atlantis, but we would never go back. Our room was in the West Tower, which apparently has not been updated yet. The rooms are dingy and outdated. Carpets are stained, furniture and fixtures are old and worn, not the nice updated room I expected given the price paid for the stay. The customer service was inconsistent, but mostly not good. Restaurant and bar staff were typically inattentive. Food and beverages are EXPENSIVE. Our average lunch was over $100 (sandwiches and wraps, nothing fancy) and dinners were typically around $300 (again nothing overly extravagant) Be aware that there is a 15% gratuity charge tacked on to all bills in addition to the 10% VAT tax. The demographic of the hotel is mostly families with small children. There is no adults only area that you have access to while staying at the Royal, if you're looking for that, stay at the Cove (wish I had known). The beach and pools are nice, but everything is very spread out, we ended up walking about 9 miles each day. We enjoyed all of the marine habitats and the stingray feeding experience. Overall, given the price paid for the room and dining, this place was not worth it.
Great family experience

We had a great family trip at Atlantis. It is a huge place and you can do something different every day! We also enjoyed some excursions off the premises, but you don't ever have to leave. Many dining options are also available. The lazy river and water slides were awesome.
