11 day long nightmare

soldfield151269 (Harrogate, United Kingdom) on Mar 28, 2026

We stayed at The Breezes from 15 March 2026 for 11 nights on an all inclusive basis. On arrival, late at night, after travelling for 19 hours we were met by The Receptionist advising us it was Spring Break and they were going to put us on the 7th floor as it is ‘quieter’. Unbeknown to us this set the scene for the holiday. No porter/concierge service available or no drink on arrival. The rooms are clean and are cleaned daily with beds and towels changed daily; most days the maid left towel Sculpture on the bed which was a nice touch. Bed is large and comfortable. The rooms are very dated. Our room and I believe all rooms have a Juliet Balcony which means you cannot sit outside. Our balcony door did not open and even when reported was not fixed for the duration of our stay. Our room door/lock failed on several occasions; when reported to maintenance the issue was fixed very quickly. No fridge or tea And coffee making facilities in the room. We Did ask for tea making but were only given coffee!! All doors are circa 1970s wooden and need to be slammed to close. Behind each door there is a sign which says ‘always double lock your door !!’ (Very unsettling). AC worked well but was very noisy which disturbed our sleep, coupled with slamming doors, spring break revellers and loud rap music until midnight most nights disturbed our sleep. I genuinely feel I need a holiday after this experience. The food in the main is ok however unexciting and always lukewarm. I always opted for an omelette for breakfast as it was freshly made and hot. The beach is very nice but the sun loungers are not as advertised unless you pay through the nose! ($100 per day for a cabana with cushions and butler service). They are very uncomfortable (rock hard to be exact) and lots are broken. The bar is 5-7 deep with Spring Breakers however the bar staff work very hard and do positively attempt to serve all other guests before the Breakers. There is very little to do at this hotel if you are not a spring breaker. The hotel prioritises cruise day trippers over paying guests and we were asked to move to accommodate day trippers. There is security everywhere and police on site at night due to the spring breakers. It’s really an awful environment. The hotel staff told me they are paid £150 dollars to Clear up vomit and that regularly happens even in the pool. Needless To say I only went in the pool (which is always cold) once. The hotel staff are mostly helpful and pleasant but you can see they are run ragged accommodating the relentless onslaught of breakers which just keep coming. Advertised as a non-smoking hotel yet guests vape and smoke everywhere and are NEVER challenged. There are a lot of things I could continue to fairly critique but I think you get this gist. Would I visit again ? Not even if it was free!!!!

Great value

jeff c (Worthing, United Kingdom) on Mar 27, 2026

Had a great time at Breezes, staff are really good and friendly, food has a good choice and apart from the white wine ( not sure whats going on there) the drinks are all of a very good standard. Lickily enough we left on the first day of spring break ( this was warned about on the web site though) and spent an enjoyable 12 nights there. Well positioned, short bus ride to town and right on a lovely beach.

Not worth the money

The bar at the beach is horrible. Bad quality of drinks and they offer just the local beer which is not even like a beer. The customer service attention on those bars is terrible.

All inclusive day pass on cruise stop

joycie4smiles on Mar 21, 2026

We visited Nassau for the day on a cruise and my research led me to see that Breezes is the best bang for your buck to spend the day at the beach with it being all inclusive! I went to book online, and it said that there were no more daily passes available. So I decided to call the resort and Ms. Margo took my name and ensured me that our party of six would have day passes reserved at the desk. When we arrived Randesha called Ms. Margot to verify our ticket reservation. Randesha was very thorough in explaining to us what was included and gave us a very warm and friendly Bahamian welcome. I would definitely recommend Breezes to anyone, the resort was clean and bright, the employees and service was friendly helpful, and the service was great. The drinks were good, the food was yummy and the beach was beautiful! If we come back to Nassau, we look forward to visiting Breezes again and hopefully we get to see Randesha and meet Ms. Margot so I can thank her in person. As other reviews have said, keep in mind, that March is Spring Break time. So the resort was definitely busy with college-age students. For the most part, there was nothing too ruckusy happening and the kids were respectful and friendly and fun.

Try RIU Paradise Island Instead

SunWorship46 (Guelph, Canada) on Mar 20, 2026

We knew for the most part what we were getting into before our visit. I had passed on visiting this resort for many years some may say avoiding it. We did end up going as family chose it as an affordable option. It is one of only a few remaining all inclusive resorts on the island but it is also one of the oldest properties. Gone are the glory days of the Ambassador and the Playboy Casino. As noted by other reviewers this hotel needs a lot of TLC. Dated doesn't really cover it. It is however very clean and well kept in most spaces. The beach is the star of the show here, its the saving grace of the resort. The food is not good and usually cold. The drinks were just ok. The service, I have heard of this phenomenon but this is the first time I have experienced it. Tipping for service, the wait and bar staff were almost rude at first exposure. Once you started tipping they warmed right up, as long as you kept tipping they were great. Not much else to say, if someone gifted me a trip here I may return but I wouldn't spend my money here. It is nice and close to Baha Mar which is a very short walk away. We spent a bunch of time there exploring how the other half lived. Any future visit to Nassau will be to Baha Mar or Atlantis again. Much more expensive and not all inclusive but worth it. Side note: Ava in the Italian restaurant should not be a server, maybe gardening is a better career path for her. The less people she interacts with the better, being a forward facing employee is detrimental to the already struggling hotel.
