Great resort, but dining options are very expensive and pools were not heated

506angeliquen (Tampa, Florida) on Jan 11, 2026

We love The Cove and Atlantis. I have been two years in a row and enjoy the staff and atmosphere. My two challenges for this year are that the food options continue to be very expensive (over $100 for dinner for two people - often over $150). Also, we expected the pools to be heated and they were not. Avg water temp was 72-74 degrees F and it was simply too cold to enjoy the water. The resort advertises that the pools are heated and I think some were broken this trip.

Not worth the cost

Luxury resort pricing for an average experience. Make sure you don't go when a big event is there. A corporate event monopolized many parts of the resort from night to night with no way of knowing which areas/restaurants were closed ahead of time.

The Cove is delightful

This was our second trip to the Cove, and it will not be the last. The facility is gorgeous, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It was a totally relaxing and regenerative vacation. We also did the Sea Lion Adventure at Dolphin Cay. TRULY AMAZING!

This was our second visit to Atlantis, and our first visit with kids. It's truly the perfect family getaway - from great food, to pristine beaches, to comfy/quiet rooms and staff who seem friendly, welcoming and helpful. There's something for everyone! We can't wait for our next visit!

Beautiful location. Bring your own hot water.

sadhishs2016 (Murfreesboro, Tennessee) on Jan 05, 2026

Absolutley beautiful setting and room. The thing that ruined the entire trip was that for 5 of the 7 days there was a hot water issue (i.e. no hot water at all) which required us to endure cold showers the majority of the time. Maintenance kept coming up daily saying it was fixed but it wasnt. Finally got hot water the day of checkout (go figure).
