Marvett in the morning at the Breakfast smoothie location at the Palms did a wonderful job making me a smoothie and remembered each day how I liked it. Also Christina from the organized games was a lot of fun and she sat with my wife while I checked us out. ( She was feeling a little blue) My wife really appreciated that. Thank you Couples Swept away staff, we had a great trip.
Disappointing. Do not WASTE your money

I was extremely disappointed in this resort. My wife and I arrived on Saturday and we are on our 3rd day of 7 while this review was written. Before booking this resort I researched it to compare between Sandals Negril and also the Iberostar Grand in Montego Bay. I decided to take a chance to give it a try and deeply regret it. I haven't stayed at the Sandal Negril but have stayed at the Iberostar Grand before. Below are take aways from my stay so far:
Rooms - in desperate need of an upgrade.
Resort ground/facilites - they need to invest in a pressure washer and let it loose in this resort. The pathways to the rooms, restaurants, etc ade very dirty as well as the landscaping. The buildings are also in need of a fresh coat of paint.
Bars - this was a big disappointment. Although the resort list a number of bars, only a few are open at a time. During the day there are no bars open except for the beach bars. So when its pouring rain (thunder storm) there is no area for you to have a few drinks to wait out the rain. Your only option is to go to your room. Your in-room bar is stocked with only 2 beers, 1 coke & 1 ginger ale. At all other resorts we enjoyed having a few drinks in the lobby bar or any other sheltered bar while it rain.
Restaurants/food - the food so far has been disappointing. Every resort I stayed at in Jamaica I never complained about the food. All their sauces, including the jerk sauce, taste like ketchup. The "buffet" for breakfast and lunch basically has 2 meal choices so definitely not as much options as I'm use to. For dinner their is no buffet and you must order from a very simple menu so again, not much options. The quality of the food compares more to some of the resorts I stayed at in Cuba. At the restaurant for lunch, we were only served water and when we asked for coke or another items from the bar, we were told we need to go get it from the bar ourselves. This also happened to another couple sitting next to us.
Entertainment - To be frank, it's more geared towards an older demographic. There is no music, evening shows are saxophonist and piano playing so far. Day time activity is staw hat making. My wife and are are in our mid 30's and the entertainment is just completely missing for us at this resort.
In summary, I would not recommend this resort to anyone especially for the price. Try the Iberostar Grand in Monetgo Bay and you would not be disappointed as I am right now. Only our 3rd day and even though we are trying to be positive, we have already written off this vacaiton as a bad one.
This review will be updated/completed once we complete our full 7 nights and return home.
