Really has gone downhill.

Antoine F on Jul 20, 2024

Our 4 th visit and last to this hotel. Oh my how standards have fallen. On arrival the door staff watched us struggle in with our luggage, still talking to each other. Check in so non friendly, no eye contact was like speaking to a robot. We were travelling as a party of 3 but there was no bed ready for our son despite numerous emails etc requesting. Room was very dusty and dirty. Toilet seat hanging off?? They put us in an “audible” room which means that there is a constant beeping in the bedroom?? Currently writing this from breakfast at the hotel—coffee stone cold. Orders taken incorrectly. Food just ok? Upon leaving the door staff watched us struggle to our Uber with our luggage. Reached out to the hotel—radio silence—our advice is to avoid at all costs!

Miles is an AMAZING person! I was really upset over some personal stuff, and he comforted me and helped me a lot. He’s so patient and kind, always thinking from the guest's perspective and doing his best to support me. I really appreciate his help!! Plus, the hotel is clean and beautiful. I’ll definitely recommend this place!

Conrad 5 star service

K w (Manchester, United Kingdom) on Jul 12, 2024

Stayed at the Conrad downtown after a cruise. It is bigger than I thought and open plan. The rooms were not ready by the 3pm check in. However, the Guest Services manager stepped in and tried to find us rooms. The lady found us rooms on level 5 which were a few doors from each other. She then sent up fresh fruit and bottles of water for the inconvenience. We were also given a Conrad the bull soft toy for my son who has autism. The suites are very well equipped with the addition of a fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Service at the hotel was very good. We had a meal at the restaurant one night. Food was very good but I felt a little expensive for drinks. Especially the can of coke cola my daughter ordered which was over $9! It is located in a lovely area a short walk to the Hudson river which was ideal for us. I wanted my son to stay in a less busy area of New York. The Brookfield shopping centre was very nice as were the restaurants and bars around the Hudson river. I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a hotel near the Hudson river.

Nice Stay Facing the River

Laurie B (Atlanta, Georgia) on Jul 11, 2024

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in NYC. In the past we have stayed in Midtown, but this time we decided to stay downtown for a different and more quiet stay. We were upgraded to a corner king river view suite which faced the Hudson. The suites are very spacious as the hotel was once an Embassy Suites. We watched the Jersey City 4th of July fireworks right from our suite. There is also a roof top bar on the 16th floor. We had breakfast four mornings in Atrio, the hotel's restaurant. As a Hilton Gold member, my husband and I each received a $25 credit each day for food/drink at the hotel. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at Atrio on our first night. We liked the location and were able to walk to most places we visited. We enjoy walking and averaged 8.5 miles each day. We took taxis when we wanted to go to Midtown and back. The hotel is very clean and the housekeeping staff is very good. I liked the Byredo Mojave desert toiletries in the bathroom. While the hotel is not as luxurious as the Conrad St. James in London, it is a nice, clean hotel with spacious suites, some of which face the river, and attentive staff. The location is quite quiet, especially for NYC and there are many great restaurants and great shopping nearby at Brookfield Place and Oculus.
