Stunning brand new hotel in the middle of Times Square

shahlizaj2022 on Aug 23, 2026

Stayed at Hyatt Regency Times Square with the family and came away really impressed. The room had a spectacular view straight into the heart of Times Square, and despite being right in the middle of everything, it was spacious and quiet with two comfortable double beds, blackout curtains and effective air conditioning that kept things properly cool. The welcome touches stood out too, fresh fruit, snack bars, and a mapped-out Central Park running route left for us since our kids are keen runners, a thoughtful detail we didn't expect. Breakfast at Cue 48 on the lobby level was excellent, a proper hot buffet with eggs, bacon and pancakes alongside bagels and pastries à la carte, and the kids couldn't get enough of the pancakes in particular. We also made great use of the fitness centre on the 15th floor, genuinely one of the best hotel gyms we've come across, spacious, well equipped and with brilliant views over the city. Staff were attentive throughout our stay. The location couldn't be better for exploring New York on foot. A fantastic choice for families.

Pretty great!

The hotel is much bigger than it seems from the front. The staff are all very attentive and kind. When you first walk into your room you are greeted with a beautiful clean smell and your name will be on the tv welcoming you to your room. The beds were very nicely made. There were also full bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower! They gave us 2 complimentary bottles of water. Another thing was there was a free coffee station in the morning. We didn't buy breakfast here because krispy creme was right next door which was very convenient. If you have kids I would recommend this hotel. There is no pool but the M&M store is right across the street which was a big hit for us! Overall, great experience.

Comedy of errora

Kay G on Aug 18, 2026

Quite a few issues: a large male entered my room without knocking or announcing, while I was changing, holding a pillow. Luckily I had time to quickly get dressed and address him. He said he forgot to leave an extra pillow during housekeeping, and the entire experience was exceptionally odd and left me shaken. I was there on a solo stay (I am a woman). Next, WiFi was down for hours and no one at reception had an idea - so their solution (after the initial incident) was to send a male tech to my room. After the first experience, I was not in the mood for any people coming to my room (especially for a WiFi issue that cannot be solved from my room). Next, I made a call for utensils. I was told someone would be up with them. I waited 35 minutes (I only had 45 minutes to eat before heading to a meeting). Called back to be told that they do not send utensils to rooms as they do not have room service - so, conflicting messaging. Went to get the utensils myself from the restaurant, then as soon as I had 5 minutes left to eat, someone came with an ironing board and iron that I did not request (instead of utensils). At 2 minutes left before needing to leave, another knock on my door —- this time with utensils. This was a comedy of errors all in one stay, except none of it was actually funny.

Nice hotel at Times Square but has some issues.

nitin28 (New Delhi, India) on Aug 17, 2026

Stayed for 3nights at Hyatt Regency Times square. Great hotel and Right in middle of Times Square hustle and bustle. We were family of 4 and took their Corner room on 34th floor. Overall we had a nice time here except below irritants- Cons- 1. Despite having a nice porch and lot of space , no Uber comes there and becomes very inconvenient when with luggage . This needs to be addressed as hotel has 3 entrances but taxi does not come on porch. 2. Free Breakfast (if opted) is ridiculous in Cafe kinda setting, with just 4 items per room permissible including Coffee (Cappuccino would be extra charged) Indian travellers shall definitely get a shock with breakfast. 3. Check in staff Did not inform morning coffee/tea counter service daily at 6-8am which was nice and we came to know ourselves. 4. Ridiculous system of debiting money every midnight automatically from credit card and sms received daily. We had booking.com reservation fully paid and also deposit made. But The counter staff said that its routine as they charge booking.com and will be reversed. I never experienced this elsewhere in the world.
