I certainly had some reservations about visiting due to all the negative reviews from folks, but given the nightly rate I got, it was the best option. Ultimately, I'd say the stay exceeded my expectations with a few minor areas for improvement. My globalist benefits were recognized and I was given a corner room with a great view of Times Square. While some noise made its way inside, it's Times Square so kind of expected and the white noise app on my phone did the trick. The room itself was brand new, it even had the new room smell and plastic covers on the AC control and the safe control panel. That said, housekeeping showed some lack of attention to details. There were stray hairs in the bathroom, and some crumbs on the floor that should have been discovered with more than a cursory look. Also, the WiFi was not strong. I should have run a speed test, but didn't need to to know that speeds and signal strength should have been better. My interaction with everyone at the front desk was great. As a globalist, I got the bonus points as promised. I certainly didn't mind picking up great breakfasts in NYC each morning and scoring some extra points. Unfortunately, my destination fee was not removed automatically at check-out. Fortunately, for reasons like that, I always request a paper copy of the bill before leaving the property as that is much easier to rectify while still on property. Elevators can often be a sore spot in large NYC hotels, but not here, I feel like I never waited. And as others have mentioned, the gym is large and well equipped. With some minor fixes, I can easily see giving this property 5-stars at my next visit.

We loved the overall location. Rooms are nice and big. Hotel is clean. Our biggest complaint is the room temperature. We were not able to adjust it at all and it runs very hot, especially at night! This is our second time staying here and it was the same both times. They told us to crack our window last time, which is crazy to me on the 36th floor! But, unfortunately, that did not even help.

The location was perfect and central to everything. Everything was within walking distance. Our room was very clean and we had a corner room with a view of Times Square. It was perfect!!

Can't beat the locationWalked into a clean, modern lobby, nicely decorated for Christmas. We were early for check in, but room was available. Woman at front desk was so friendly (wish I had gotten her name) and accommodating on every way. Walked into room on 35th floor (3519) and found clean, renovated and perfect for a 2 night stay. Had strong hair dryer and steam iron (didn't use the iron). Ice not available on our floor. Very quiet and elevators were fast. All personnel were accommodating and provided extras like shower caps delivered to the room. Couldn't figure out how to use the safe. Suitcases are locked up with security there at all times. They arranged cab pick up for later for us. Outstanding service. I would like the staff recognized. My stay was Dec 8- 10. Recommend 100% and will return. Wish I had taken photos

The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holidays and the rooms were updated and clean. Busy weekend but each staff member was gracious and welcoming! Will return to this lovely oasis in a crowded city.
