I reviewed this hotel back in January 2021. As yet still no refund. The hotel still isn’t open, yet they seem to be getting great review, interesting! When IHG read my review Deborah R. replied to say she had sent me an email? I never received it and would be interested to know where the mail was sent. I tried to call IHG head office to speak to the CEO (Keith Barr), I was told he doesn’t take calls. So, I emailed him and guess what, no reply!
I am going to New York next month to have our long-awaited family holiday, staying at the Westin, which I should have done in the first place.
Can you tell me when I will get my money back, please? I know you don’t really care but some communication is long overdue.

I am simply fed up with this hotel. I live in the UK and back in February 2020 I booked 2 rooms at this hotel, staying August 24 – 27 2020 (3 nights) at a total cost of $1508.88. Due to the pandemic both bookings were cancelled on 23rd June 2020 and cancelation numbers were given for both bookings, at this time I was told I would need to wait 60 days for the refund to come through. It is now the beginning of January 2021 and still no refund.
I have called the hotel numerous times and get the same story of “please bear with us your refund is coming”, they even gave me a case reference number!! that was until the hotel stopped answering calls as I believe they are now closed. So, I called IHG corporate in the US who were very sympathetic but managed to cut me off 3 times. Do you they have any idea the cost of calling the hotel or IHG corporate from the UK and explaining why I am calling again and again? I am an IHG gold member and get treated like this, what’s the point in joining the program. To leave, so called “valued customers” without any help or communication is a disgrace. I hope to be staying in New York this coming August 2021, guess where I won’t be staying!

I loved my stay at the crowne plaza. The staff was incredibly welcoming and super friendly. Special shout-out to Ashley at the front desk for being so kind and patient. There was even a wifi outage in the whole city and they handled it so well and made sure I was super comfortable while I waited to get checked in. The room felt very clean as well. Would for sure recommend and come back again!
