Still waiting for a refund for a trip that was booked almost 2 years ago for July 2020 and still no sign of our £1500! We have rung & emailed IHG numerous times with no success. Endless excuses , most recently ‘when the hotel reopens they will have funds to refund customers’?! Can’t believe a huge hotel group is treating their customers this way! Also it looks as if the hotel has reopened as there are recent (all glowing?!) ‘reviews’. Not sure what more we can do, apart from obviously never using the IHG hotel group again.
Apparently there is no customer service.

It seems from reading reviews I am not the only one that still hadn’t received a refund from a COVID cancellation almost 2 years later. Was suppose to stay back in May 2020 and have religiously called IHG since there is no number or email that works for this hotel as it’s “closed.” I have a case #10482933193 and every time is talk to IHG Customer Care I always get the same response, “we thank you for your patience at the fine the hotel is not open and will not be able to issue a refund until the hotel reopens.” It has been almost 2 years that this company has been able to hold on to my money and provide absolutely no services. Wasting my time and countless others time having to continuously call and every time I call it’s the same response. It was the hotel will be open 11/2020 than 1/2021 than 3/2021 than 6/2021 than 7/2021 than 10/02021 now 11/2021. Of course I can go reserve a room for 12/2021 right now, but I can’t get a refund from 05/2020. Lastly, it appears the only way to even get a response from this business is to write bad reviews or blast them on Twitter. If their reputation is at stake they’ll send out the fixers, even though nothing is fixed. So very disappointed.
