Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

I debated 3 or 4 stars, but I’m going with 3 Pros: Clean - Room was clean. Seems like there was recent remodeling maybe? I appreciate the hard floors vs carpet Location - Walkable to Disneyland or to the Toy Story Lot to ride the bus to Disneyland Meh: Breakfast - It’s included so we weren’t paying for food out every morning. But it’s not good. I’ve had worse eggs, sure. But the 5 mornings we were there the buffet was scrambled eggs, cubed potatoes, pancakes/french toast, which are all fine. But then bacon bits and either round thin slices of deli ham (not Canadian bacon, just plain ham), or this weird sliced smoked sausage (not breakfast sausage). The coffee kind of had a saw dust taste (not the case at all Hyatt breakfasts) Cons: Parking - I’ve said it before about this place but it really kind of irks me. They charge $30. Fine. Except that they share a lot with the Cortona Inn, who charges $22. And the Cortona’s gates were never closed (again, repeat from the past). So I’m paying more to park in the same place and in theory anyone can park there pretty much for free? Room - The room was clean, as I said. But, we booked a specialty queen. Specifically because the room description and photos from Hyatt show/state that there’s a separate desk in the room (“separate workspace”), and the Oversized Cozy Corner sofa. Our room had a two-seat love seat and a chair. And no separate desk, just the dining table. Deal breaker? No, probably not. But as far as I’m concerned not what I reserved. Nor was it really the space that I intended to have since we were traveling as a family of five adults, and I planned to do some work a few mornings. Also, our bathroom had a sliding door that closed off the toilet & tub/shower from the sink area (again, not as shown in the photos). Sliding doors can be fine if there isn’t a weird gap where you can see in/out of the bathroom. It’s awkward as a shared space. Also, while two sinks is great for getting ready, not having a door that can be closed to the sink area is an annoyance, mainly at night when the lights are on. And, one sink leaked (think river on your toes), and the other drained very slowly. The front desk seemed disinterested at best in having someone take a look at them. Pool - Closed. Sign said we could use the Cortona pool (yes, the neighboring property with the wide open parking gates, so they’re associated somehow.) I’d stay here again. Sure. I’ve suggested it to others. I just don’t know how to get around my annoyances with the hotel. And they couldn’t care less if I’m not happy with the place. But I do still like it better than the Hyatt House.
Disappointing

Pros: Rooms were well decorated and generally comfortable Staff were friendly They let us check in earlier than the stated time Bunk bed option Decent free breakfast Cons: Pretty far walk from Disneyland with no shuttle options. There were several different individual hairs in the shower in our first room (eyelashes, short hairs, long hairs, it was disgusting). Shower handle in first room broke so we had to spend 90 minutes waiting for it to be fixed, only for him to tell us he didn’t know how long it would take. We finally moved to another room but this put us back a few hours we were going to spend at Disneyland. We also had to hang out in our swimsuits waiting to be able to shower. We were also offered nothing for this big inconvenience. Parking is not cheap at $30/day, which is more than I remember it being advertised for. Swimming pool wasn’t open— had to use next door’s pool. One elevator wasn’t working so it took forever to get on. We ended up taking the stairs most of the time. The second room’s bathroom felt cleaner but there was mold everywhere just like in the first room. There was also a weird bug we found in the second room’s bathroom. The bathtub simultaneously wouldn’t drain but also wouldn’t hold water. So taking a bath meant you’d have maybe 5 minutes before the water was halfway gone. Every other day housekeeping. This is my biggest complaint about this hotel and most others nowadays. We stayed here from Sunday til Thursday (4 nights and 5 days) and had only ONE day where someone made our beds and gave us more towels. I tried to text the number given in the app to request additional housekeeping but never got a response. Rooms were pretty worn down. Lots of scuff marks and stains on furniture. No microwaves, so the in-room refrigerator is useless for anything besides drinks. Bunkbed king room was a splurge and definitely nice to have bunk beds, but the pocket doors were useless for privacy. The air conditioning unit is in the area with the bunk beds, so closing it meant bunkbed area would be freezing and king bed area would be too warm. Overall, this hotel was a big splurge for us and one I thought would be worth the money. Turns out it was worse than most other less expensive hotels I’ve stayed in recently. I’m pretty disappointed we had to deal with the inconvenience of needing to switch rooms because of a broken shower which cost us a few hours we were going to spend at Disneyland plus the hassle of packing up and moving out of an entire room for 5 people and then having to move into another room, and the hotel didn’t do anything to make up for it. Plus, sooo many random hairs in the shower the first time we used it ??
