Good place to stay away from the crowds

annie-cJohannesburg (johannesburg) on Feb 17, 2024

This was a great choice for us as grandparents enjoying time at Disney, while our son and family stayed at a nearby resort hotel. We enjoyed returning to our quiet hotel and the small pool in the afternoons after a hectic time in the Park. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.Everything was a short drive away. Our room was very large and had everything we needed including a kitchenette and large bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable.

Excellent customer service upon arrival by all the front desk staff. Special shout out to Beverley who text us to let us know our room was ready while we waited at Caribe Royale at lunch. No control for us as to arrival time due to flight times from Canada. She was exceptional! The suites are basic, comfortable and clean. We were on 6th floor, room 635 and we could see the light show and fireworks from Epcot and Magic Kingdom…that’s the closest we got to those parks! The pool area - basic, nothing exceptional. The sister property, Caribe Royale is far superior if you are looking for a more tropical swim area. The hot tub did not work on our first visit - but no worries there as we were shortly bombarded by 7 or 8 youngsters under the age of 12 so we left. On day 4 of our stay we had the tub and pool to ourselves…benefit of being a crazy Canadian used to chilly temperatures. The Breakfast which is included - was great! Scrambled eggs, sausages, fried potatoes, fruit, porridge, cereal, toast and crumpets. Breakfast area is extremely clean and well maintained. Never had to wait, never crowded. 100% pleased with this area If traveling with children or groups, this is an ideal spot. F

Affordable upscale hotel close to all local attractions

Paula F (Lancaster, New York) on Jan 30, 2024

We stayed here after a long day at one of the Disney parks. We were greeted by a friendly, helpful front desk employee who made us feel welcome! Our room was clean & comfortable. We had a great night’s sleep with a great free breakfast the following morning. And this hotel is close to all the local attractions! Will stay here again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning! Great location near Disney Spring, free parking. Super clean. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast is free and delicious and so many options. The rooms were nicely furnished and has a living room bedroom and bathroom. Nice large shower. We were sad to only stay 1 night!

Disappointing Decline: A Once-Charming Hotel Falls Victim to Cost-Cutting Measures

Antonio M on Jan 07, 2024

My recent stay at this hotel marked a significant departure from my past experiences. Previously, the annual visit to Orlando with my daughter and family included a pleasant stay at this hotel. However, this time, noticeable changes were evident, starting with the breakfast. The buffet, which used to feature fresh eggs for personalized cooking, has taken a regrettable turn. Instead of genuine eggs, there's a peculiar liquid substance masquerading as an egg. The fruit selection has dwindled from a variety in a bowl to a meager offering of low-quality apples and a single orange. The decline in quality is evident, and the once enjoyable breakfast experience has been compromised. Even the coffee, once a comforting part of the morning routine, now disappoints with a sour taste. It's evident that the hotel is prioritizing cost-cutting, leaving guests wondering why it remains consistently full despite the diminishing standards. Beyond the breakfast debacle, the overall maintenance of the hotel has declined. During breakfast, numerous guests voiced their dissatisfaction with the quality, and my family had to change rooms due to a pervasive plumbing odor. The noises suggested plumbing issues, creating a thoroughly unpleasant experience. This was my third visit, and it's disheartening to witness such a decline in the hotel's standards. I can no longer justify staying here, as the cost-cutting measures have significantly diminished the overall quality of the stay. It's a regrettable departure from the hotel's previous charm, and I won't be returning.
