Horrible room smell
Weathermans (Boone, North Carolina) on Feb 27, 2026
Great location. Room smelled like musty old socks. After reading tons of reviews it seems this has been a problem for many years. It was so bad that all my clothes smelled like the room after I came home. Very expensive for this to be a known problem for a long time. Luckily my company paid for the trip because I would have left otherwise.
First family Disney Trip

Perfect resort for our family. The lobby was a bit crazy but easy to navigate. The room size was perfect for a family of 3. We spent most of our time at the parks and our one regret was not doing one day at the resort to truly utilize all the amenities. I do wish they had a better coffee shop option but other than that I have no complaints. We did reserve the fireworks view room but no balcony and felt like it was a waste. We would have rather walked out on the bridge to watch but that was our personal preference. The room did provide a great view. The pools were amazing, they had something for all ages and very well maintained. The fountain was a hit as it had burgers and ice cream. All pricing was fair for staying at a Disney resort. The boat transportation to Epcot was also a nice touch.
Go team!

Attending a professional conference, the hotel still seemed beautiful with professional staffing . On 2/16, visiting from England, I had stayed here previously and enjoyed hotel vibe and location. Pricey, but not too far off from typically high Disney prices . However things surprisingly disintegrated from coffee lines over 20 minutes long to kids kicking soccer ball’s outside hotel room hallway’s. Available breakfast danish tasted factory quality and lobby bar area in the evening was loud, overcrowded and less than inviting. The comical part was watching unsupervised groups of youth soccer teams running about the area kicking either soccer balls or large rubber beach type balls. Dangerously knocking into whomever was nearby from children in strollers to elderly. Not at a single moment did I see any staff member, security guard, manager, any Employee do a single thing to stop this or find the negligent parents or coaches. Is this a fancy gymnasium or a resort? Two of my Colleagues brought this mess to the attention of the front desk that evening after one nearly had the drinks knocked off the table by a ball. The hotel response? “According to our manager, It’s been addressed” Zero customer skills or supporting response. Completely false and comical answer as at that moment , the kids were still running about lobby area’s. This was pointed out to a disinterested man who identified as a manager. Anyway, great for soccer or other teams, especially if your coaches or parents want you to run about with no manners or responsibility.
Disappointing and expensive.

The resort has a perfect location for park hopping. A walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios or you can take shuttle boats. The room was nice if slightly outdated. The drawbacks on this trip: Self parking was full at Dolphin so we had to park at the Swan. Paying $40/day parking and then having to park over at adjacent resort and 15 minute walk is not ideal or a good value. And we had to drop off luggage and wait in line to check in before driving car to swan and then walking back. Check in was busy at 10:00 pm. 20 minute wait in line. Valentines Day- ordered flowers to be delivered and they never delivered them to room or even notified us the flowers arrived. They were sitting down at bell station the next morning. For what we paid for this expensive weekend we expect better.
Horrible

Terrible! This should be a 2 star hotel! Worst service and hotel I have stayed in. Spoke to the manager not willing to compensate me for what I endured. Room smells of raw sewage at 3 am, toilet makes noises. Smoke alarm goes off when you take a shower. Paid full price for a low budget hotel that markets themselves as 4 star!
