It was way better than I thought

henksey (Louisville, Kentucky) on Sep 28, 2023

We had a one bedroom suite. It was great. The staff was friendly. Rooms and hallways clean. Outside pool was great for the kids. Our grandson, stayed at the pool all day long playing with other kids. They have a restaurant to order pizza or wings to eat next to the pool. I would recommend this place.

Rude unhelpful staff and stolen package

BoardingPass395426 on Sep 28, 2023

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, one of the worst experiences I've ever had staying in a hotel, especially a Melia. I've stayed in Melia hotels all over the world and I am absolutely appalled by what myself and my family experienced here. For starters the floor was filthy, the showers were filthy and didn't work properly due to the mass build up of limescale, we paid a compulsory nightly amenity fee and received no amenities that we were told would be provided, and there were cockroaches running around the place, the room as a whole was very worn. We had a broken chair in our dining room, (bearing in mind there were four of us staying there and there were only 3 usable chairs), I called on the first day to alert the front desk and request for a new one to be provided, the said another one would be delivered to the room within 30 minutes which never happened. Two and a half days and 6 phone calls plus two trips to the front desk later and still no chair. Finally after an unfortunately curt conversation with the front desk we finally had a new chair delivered. We also had a package delivered to the hotel which went mysteriously missing, with different stories being told to us every day. One day they had video footage, the next they didn't. We had proof of delivery and a signature from a member of staff at the front desk, who didn't exist one day, then did the next. They were telling us one thing, and the courier company another when we were trying to resolve the issue. They apparently "looked everywhere" and couldn't find it. Then magically on the last day of our stay when we threatened to get the police involved, it appeared and we were given our package. The whole debacle was extremely suspect and we were definitely being lied to on multiple occasions. This took up hours of our family holiday time being on the phone to customer services with the courier, melia, and the company that sent our package, as well as causing undue stress. I hate to sound like such a Karen but this was honestly the experience we had, it was so poor and the ladies at the front desk had the worst attitudes I've ever come across, they were extremely rude and unhelpful and just didn't seem to care or want to help in any way. It's a shame because it's a very good location and has the potential to be such a good hotel.
