Great stay

mrazone (New York) on Jun 26, 2024

Really enjoyed our stay here. This has quickly become my favorite Disney resort. Super easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood studios via the skyline. Buses to magic kingdom Are frequent and the ride is only @ 10 mins. The rooms are super comfortable and spacious and modern. Great view of the Epcot fireworks at night. Staff was super friendly. Next time we go to Disney this hotel would be top of my list.

In a Word...WOW!!

X8465AAryanc (Dallas, Texas) on Jun 05, 2024

I recently stayed at Disney's Riviera Resort as part of a family trip to Disney World/Universal Studios. The trip was organized by my aunt (a generous person who rarely does anything on the cheap), so I knew whatever resort she booked for us would be nice. However, I am grateful to report that my experience at the Riviera was altogether different from what I originally expected it to be. Having never been to Disney World or stayed at any Disney resort before, I'll admit that my original expectations for the Riviera included some of the more negative stereotypes that often plague other family destinations (bratty children, unusual smells, loud noises, broken amenities, nasty pool areas, etc.). Yet I couldn't be more glad to have been proven wrong, as the Riviera contained NONE of those things and is instead one of the best hotel/resort experiences I've ever had. Unlike other hotels/resorts I've stayed at, my positive experience started the moment we arrived onsite and drove up to the entrance. A valet opened my door and said "Good evening sir, welcome to the Riviera!", after which we walked through the sliding doors to be greeted by more friendly staff, and by what is perhaps the most wonderful scent I've come across at any hotel ever (a scent I am currently researching and plan to use in my own home). After successfully working through some Disney MagicBand issues with the incredibly friendly and helpful desk attendant (Steven??), we proceeded to our two-bedroom villa on the fourth floor. Describing the villa alone would likely require a separate review; but suffice it to say, it was opulent without being ostentatious. As a person who tends to look closely for evidence of uncleanliness, I couldn't find a thing...the cleanliness was absolutely exemplary (kudos to the "Mousekeeping" Staff!!). Everything shined and smelled so fresh. The beds were perfectly made, the bathrooms literally sparkled, the kitchenette cabinets were stocked, and the views from both patios were second to none. It was even a great surprise to turn on the TV and see a welcome screen containing our family names and delightful French-themed background music playing while we unpacked and looked around the villa. Additional highlights were the in-suite washer/dryer (with a supply of detergent), secure safe, ample closet/storage space (with plenty of hangars), separate bathroom vanity areas, plenty good quality towels, fresh smelling soaps, and of course the shower...OH the shower! Not only do they contain separate rainfall AND removable/hand-held shower heads, but you can actually sit down inside them and RELAX after spending a long, hot day at the Disney parks. There is so much more I could say about how truly wonderful our Riviera experience was...from the pool, bar, and outdoor sitting areas, to the hallways, elevators, lobby café, and the beautiful décor. However, in the interest of brevity, I will simply leave it at this: if you're looking for a deluxe Disney resort that is new/fresh, incredibly clean, well-managed, and staffed by friendly, helpful people, look no further than Disney's Riviera Resort, period. Even if you're trying to decide between a deluxe & moderate resort, take my advice and spend more for the experience of staying at the Riviera. You might not think it's worth the cost at first (especially if you plan to spend most of your time at the parks); but at the end of a long day, you'll be very glad to have a peaceful, relaxing place to call your temporary home. I certainly plan on staying at Riviera again, even if I don't go to Disney World!
