How a hotel should be.

Tremendously positive and helpful staff who handled every question we gave them.Clean and efficiently run with great beds.Food well above standard and a very large pool. Very close to the park so the water taxi was ideal.
Welcome to corporate America with gnat's chuff tips to beat it..

Stayed for 7 days with the memsahib some 28 years after first visiting Universal from the UK. Our travel agent recommended the hotel on the strength of its daily and very prompt shuttle boat service into city walk for the parks - without a shadow of a doubt that is an absolute no-brainer and it runs until around 0200 most days. The hotel experience fell at the first - no bellhop for our luggage and a one -person check-in desk with a theme park queue. IT problems with the check in card swipe annoyed me even more and then we were left to navigate our own way to our room whilst trying to decipher the Enigma-style 4 digit room number in the vast hotel (house, floor then room if you're interested) Room was completely corporate with plenty of towels and a good ensuite and decent flatscreen TV. Beds were US generous sized and comfy. We did decide that we missed having a balcony though the view over the shuttle boats always had something happening.. Poor in-room internet and even charged for it in the 'business centre' We relied on the Amatista cookhouse for our evening meals but be advised that its official closing is 2200hrs, after that you have to rely on a grab and go in the lobby. Cheapest glass of wine was a shocking 11usd I recall. Pool side (you needed your key card to swipe gate access) was nice with plenty of sunbeds and an enjoyable flume slide for you adventurous kids out there. 24usd for a frozen colada and a cake served by friendly, keen and young staff. The most damning thing about the (premium?)hotel was the lack of concierge knowledge about how to get to the I-ride trolley for the full Orlando tourist experience -they recommended a 14 usd taxi to achieve the trip - see below for our 'gnats chuff' cheap alternative. And that was the main reason why we felt like prisoners in very comfortable and expensive corporate America. Other annoyances in no particular order: security to get onto the water taxi (what would I do ?), room card to get poolside (fair enough i s'pose) keycard failure at Universal partner hotels on I drive, crap internet in room, poor signposting to get to Avis car hire in garage, lack of bellhop on arrival and the general feeling that you are getting rinsed at every opportunity (as stated elsewhere, in-room bottled fiji water is 7.5usd, not complimentary 4.19 at Walgreens). Gnats Chuff guide to access I-ride trolley from universal parks: 1. Go to ground floor of main universal carparks 2. Catch bundled courtesy bus to Universal Endless Summer hotel. 3. Look for stop5 green southbound on I-ride just outside hotel, stop6 on red is 200m walk round the corner opposite Walgreens/KFC 4. Stock up on cheaper bottles of wine at Walgreens or elsewhere on International drive 5. Take wine back to universal hotel using courtesy bus system 'cos you wont be allowed into the park with it. 6. Have a drink on your veranda feeling smug and having saved around 8 bucks per glass. I know i sound miserable but I have come to the conclusion that I have grown out of theme parks, despite the immersive 3D rides being super-impressive and Sapphire Falls having done nothing really wrong apart from no front of house staff on the Monday and poor concierge training.. It felt like a real victory to have broken out onto I-drive for our little sojourn. Our decompression at Cocoa Beach was a much happier story.
Sapphire Falls is a wonderful resort.

We love staying at Sapphire Falls. It is a wonderful resort. We love their restaurant. Amatista. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We love the water taxi. We would stay there all the time if they had express passes like the 3 higher end resorts. We still stay at Sapphire at least one night every time we go to Universal.
Best Holiday Hotel Ever

Thank you Loews Sapphire Falls for a fantastic stay! The staff throughout the hotel are lovely and can't do enough for you. The hotel is clean and bright and any minor problems that occurred were quickly resolved by the hotel staff. They made our family holiday perfect and shall definitely be returning. I can highly recommend this hotel, the staff are so friendly and they give a high standard of service. The hotel has everything you need for a family holiday and then some. The free water taxi to universal and city walks is fantastic and the boat staff and security are fun too. One of the lovely water taxi trips had a fantastic boat ride with everyone singing YMCA on the boat which will forever be a fond memory for my sister and brother in law who got to enjoy that ride. My son and daughter inlaw also made his daughters 13th birthday special by arranging a cake and balloons to be delivered to the hotel room on the morning of her birthday through the concierge and the cake was delicious!!!! Pool view from our hotel window was amazing and the food throughout the hotel is lovely too. Cannot fault this hotel and the staff deserve praise for their service. Thank you and see you all again xx

Some may say it's pricey but you get what you pay for and I have never felt like spent too much when I stay here it's why I return time and time again. I highly recommend Sapphire Falls to anyone visiting Universal Orlando.
