Nicely Renovated hotel with an unhappy staff - not worth it.
TwoFriendstake (Houston, Texas) on Jul 01, 2022
We chose this hotel for the vibe & what we read online but unfortunately the staff made the experience unpleasant, pretty much the whole time. Staff: We experienced several negative interactions with the hotel staff. From the front desk (on two occasions) to the bar staff. The front desk are not welcoming, and need a lot of training. The Bar staff seemed stressed and bothered when we called them. It just seemed as though we were a bother. There were 4 different scenarios and too wordy to type, but overall the staff was not nice. There was one person at the restaurant that was so nice and welcoming. Hotel Grounds: It has the look of a boutique hotel, but is pretty big. The lobby was nice and well kept. There were lots of cute spots s where you can relax and take pics. I noticed that as you moved further away from the lobby and the main pool, the less attention is given to the rooms. Room locations: There are different buildings, be aware where the room is. Building 1,2,3 are the best if you want to be near the "popular pool" or the main pool. Building 4 & 5 is far away from the lobby/restaurant/bar. You can get a view of the other pool or a view of the parking lot. We stayed in 4 and then moved to 8. 4 was NOT impressive. Pools: There are two pools, (What I call the main pool and the quiet pool) both are big and have outside bars. The main pool is where most visit, In my opinion most lively. The main pool was very fun and lively! If you're on a girls trip or looking to have a good time, this is definitely the spot to hang The bar is slow and employees are very attentive, but the vibe is fun! Lots of friendly people. In my opinion the best spot in the hotel. Rooms: The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed and two different rooms found that it is an old hotel just updated. There was some acclimated dust on the baseboards and felt a little icky but it was ok. Restaurant: Come Monday Cafe - the food was soooo good. We ordered from here several times because it was honestly great food. The waitress (jazmine) was very nice. The "License to Chill" Bar - We tried to experience it, however it was a very slow Sunday and it seemed like we bothered the bartender. He made it a point to say he liked it quiet as he was "covering someones shift". Overall: Would I stay here again? The answer is NO. If the service was better I would but it almost ruined my trip. There are so many other hotels to choose from. It's not worth it.
Great Stay, Amazing Bartender!
MJulianPI (Murrieta, California) on Jun 26, 2022
We had a great time. David Samora, the bartender, was not only an amazing drink maker (MUST TRY his bloody marys) but friendly and fun to talk to! You have to go to the bar here! Maria, one of the servers in the restaurant, was a sweetheart as well!
