Filthy pool
R246XEdiegom on Jun 22, 2022
This is my third day staying at Omni Las Palmas and the adult pool has been filthy all three days. Haven’t been able to use it. I told the manager and he barely acknowledged it and did not apologize. Nothing has been done, I would not recommend anyone stay here.
Still Our Favorite Hotel/Resort in the Area
MichaelRinck (Los Angeles, California) on Jun 22, 2022
My family (myself, wife, and our 9 year old and 5 year old daughters) stayed here for a 3 day weekend from June 18-20. We arrived a few hours early on Saturday around 2 PM and were able to check in. We were given room 626 which was a great location in the 600 building and we were between the lobby/restaurant and the main pool area which was perfect for us. We've stayed here a few times already and have always loved this hotel. The room was had a king bed with a pull out couch for our daughters and had a patio that overlooked the fairway. While we were there the hotel used the lawn for a kids bounce house/waterslide area which both of my girls loved. It's been a few years since we've visited and it's exactly how we remembered. Our favorite part of the hotel is Splashtopia - the lazy river/waterslide/pool area. We went to the pools every day and even though it was very crowded it was never overwhelming. The only real hiccup was the poolside movie on Sunday night - my girls were enjoying watching Finding Nemo until it was abruptly stopped at 9 pm with only a few minutes left and we were told: "The pool area is closed come back tomorrow." A little weird to have an unforced error like this as the hotel has hosted these movies as long as we've been coming here years ago and should know when to start their movies. My 5 year old still asks what happened with Nemo... We were there for father's day weekend and didn't have reservations for the restaurant on-site so we made the short walk across the street to the River - we ate at the PF Chang's which was really good. We also tried a Mexican-American restaurant named Bobby's Botina's which left a lot to be desired. A quesadilla with only mozzarella cheese? What planet is this? Next time we'll wait for either Yard House or Cheesecake Factory. Overall we had a great 3 day weekend and we can't wait until our next visit. It's the best hotel in the area we've found to beat the heat.
