My Wife and I are seasoned travelers in our mid 60's. Stayed in premium class for a week in February. Used the premium benefits for room service for breakfast on the balcony and premium alcohol in out drinks. We didn't use the premium lounge and it was not very useful booking a la carte restaurants. Long story but BOOK ALL OF YOUR A LA CARTE SUPPERS WHEN YOU BOOK IN. We only managed to get a couple of a la carte restaurants booked and found them, along with the Los Arco Snack for lunch, very good. The buffet was not very good at all. The pools are very nice and the water is a comfortable temperature. Not a lot of activities at the pool and the music isn't blaring like at many resorts. The evening entertainment at 9 PM was decent and later there was band in a bar until 11 PM. There's not much for beach with no palapas or lounge chairs so don't expect to relax by the ocean. Water excursions are easy to book right on them beach where you also depart from. We were lucky enough to view whales in the bay right from the resort one day. A word of caution......This resort is notorious for people getting sick and it seems to be normal to regulars of the resort. My Wife and I both got sick with vomiting at night and Diarrhea for a full day. I have never seen it effect so many people throughout the resort over the course of the week that we were there. Be prepared and bring meds to deal with it. The employees at the resort were nice and very friendly. I would like to give a individual mention to a few people that stood out. Gustavo, one of the managers was very professional in dealing with an issue that we had and earned my respect. Alfredo at the swim up bar was always fun and happy and kept us in drinks. Luis Elizondo, a great waiter at Los Arcos was absolutely hilarious and had us in stitches. Oscar Martinez was another waiter at Los Arcos that really impressed us. The young lady with the braces on her teeth getting our drinks at the adult pool was hard working and very nice as well (I wish that I had taken her name). The bottom line for us is that our stay was not terrible but it wasn't that great either. It was advertised to us as a 5 Star resort but it is a solid 4 Star. Not the end of the world but in the future I will pay a little more to visit a better resort.

Great trip and great service by Moises every day by the pool. The sun was hot and the drinks were cold! We will definitely be back when visiting Puerto Vallarta.

The location, food and services provided were exceptional considering the cost of the trip. Great vacation value.
