Beautiful ocean views, Great service but restaurant not so great

Not a fancy hotel but the view from rooms is gorgeous, staff very helpful, their updated rooms very well done, staff at front very helpful, small store has a surprisingly good selection of food items. Restaurant La Cascada is pretty disappointing for their food and pricing but its not far to get to other restaurants. We chose hotel for snorkelling out front protected by the breakwater. More fish than expected. Only disappointment is that there are only two low tides. For us only once during the day. You need low tide or quite close to low tide to see the fish clearly inside their ‘lagoon” as the waves crash over the breakwater all other times. We would definitely return

Overall, I would rate my experience as great. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area except for the occasional bus passing by. The beach is amazing, I was able to swim and do some snorkeling almost daily. I was able to see lots of different kinds of fish and other animals, including a few pufferfish. The swimming pools are very well kept.
